On Nancora, the twin cities of Faron and Axio are connected via a single rail system. This direct line between them consists of staggered transit stations that provide a means of access to the badlands and the resources buried within them. Axio Transit Station Cresh is one such stop for the trams. Named as such due to its closer proximity to Axio than Faron, Station Cresh maintains the same design as all the other stations along the route.

The rail system itself spans four lines wide, double stacked to allow for maximum flow of transit. This results in eight active trams at any one time. Each side moves in the opposite direction of the other, meaning the fast moving trams could come rushing through at any time from either Faron, Axio, or both. The station itself consists of lifts and walkways leading to the surface far beneath the platform. The main buildings present offer up supply stalls serving food, beverages, and equipment, sold at a premium to account for their necessity in the Badlands. What remains is a small security presence as the Technocratic Guild has an armed garrison at each of their stations.

As a major supply route between the cities, the transit stations see a lot of traffic no matter the time. Station Cresh is one of the busiest, often seeing materials arriving from the lifts and being loaded onto the trams. The seeming small scale of the station can lend one to underestimating it, but its importance means any disruption will be dealt with swiftly.

Kade only had one thing in mind upon arriving at the wasteland he knew as Nancora: Credits. Knowing it probably wasn’t the best idea to go thieving around in a main city, he boarded a train leaving Axio.

When creeping off the train into Axio Transit Station Cresh, Black hair flowing down his back, he focused and willed both his eyes to a plain hazel. The Shadow never really liked the attention his multi-colored eyes gave him, especially in a public area.

I’ll be damned if there aren’t any easy pickings around here, he thought as he came upon a table of three men playing Sabacc.

It couldn’t have been any better for Kade, or so he thought. He recalled the time he had crept invisibly into the Pandemonium Resort and swindled some Knights for easy cash.

Taking a seat on the fourth end of the table, which was outside a supply stall that sold of all things, beer. He casually sat down.

“Deal me in.”

The Force Disciple took a good look at the other three people at the table: A Technocrat Soldier probably bored out of his wits, a drunk mercenary who kept looking around him like he was getting hunted, and a burly Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian was unusually tall, and the pile of money he had made Ra uneasy. Jon Silvon was his name, and he took note of the man’s blaster pistols. Buying himself in with seven-thousand credits, he prepared to pull their legs.

As all Sabacc games go, the bored soldier passed out two cards each, and the first round of betting was to happen. Kade looked at his hand: A Three of Sabers and an Eight of Staves. Eleven.

Left of the soldier, Kade threw in a measly ten credits. The drunk mercenary raised it by forty. The Mandalorian met the raise, and the soldier also met it.

“Cmon you fat cows, you can’t possibly be that broke,” the Mandalorian shouted.

Still on the soldier’s left, Kade asked for a card. As the greasy soldier’s hand passed it back to him, he folded it over and took a look. Two of Coins. Thirteen.

Now, at this point in the game it might be wise to go for another card, but the Shadow had other plans. He kept his hand as the others all took their turns. When the second round of betting arrived, Kade was prepared.

Throwing in three-thousand credits, he gave a smirk to everyone at the table. The drunk folded, murmuring something about how he hated his job.

“Finally, someone with risk! Wait till my buddies back at Odan-Urr hear bout’ this.” the ragged Mandalorian shouted, doubling the current bet.

Of course, the soldier, now looking depressed in the dreary station, folded, as anyone would’ve if they heard that shouted in their game.

With six-thousand credits at stake, as usual, Kade did have a plan. Focusing all his concentration, he changed the face of the Eight of Staves to the clean image of a certain card known as The Idiot. What the table failed to see was that his eyes changed from hazel to blue one eye, and brown in the other.

“Idiot’s Array,” Kade smirked as he plowed his cards onto the table, his blue eye shining in the light.

“Oh… that’s strange… 23!!”

As the Tall Mandalorian stood up, he slapped down two cards of The Idiot from his hand, and for the first time fully noticing the towering man, the Force Disciple knew he screwed up.

The soldier, finally happy to see some action, pulled out his Z6 Riot Control Baton, aimed right at him.

Grabbing the credits, Kade prepared to dip. As the soldier was charging him, he slipped around and while right behind him, slit his throat with his arm Hunting Knife. He rolled under the table, calling upon The Force to cloak him. Looking for a way out of this mess, he ran towards the station.

When he approached the tracks, there were no stopped trains. Just two passing through, which were quickly gone. Too worried to keep focus, his cloak faded, leaving him standing at the base of the station, near the tracks.

“Crud.” He knew he didn’t want to die here, but the thought of pocketing an additionally six-thousand credits was pretty appealing.

“You won’t get away with my money, Bantha Fodder! Give it up or the next one’s going at your head!”

A laser whizzed right by his head, and turned, activated his lightsaber.

“I see you’ve made your choice,” The Mandalorian said smoothly, and now that he could see him, he noticed the WLD-5 Peacekeepers he had.

As lasers were unloaded upon him, Kade was focused on his guard, deflecting the bolts away from him, almost seeming like part luck, part skill. While this was going on, he ran over to the metal walkway atop the trains and laid flat upon the metal walkway, putting his lightsaber away and pulling out his E-11.

He kept it aimed at the staircase, in a way more defensive than offensive. Additionally, keeping his lightsaber at the ready, Ra prepared to shoot all beings coming up the stairs, as he knew the guild had guards on their way.
