Naboo Jan-gwa City

Unlike the Gungan’s submerged capital below Naboo, Jan-gwa rests partially underwater; the majority of the city remaining above the water’s surface. A waterfall runs along the cliffs behind Jan-gwa, creating a veil of mist around the base of the city’s rounded platforms. Nocturnally illuminated, domed structures encompass the center of each platform and are home to Jan-gwa’s Gungan inhabitants. Some of the these structures extend below the water’s surface, creating an anchor that keeps Jan-gwa from floating with the currents and provides shelter to hundreds of Gungans.

Etched into the cliff walls are several faces of unknown origin. Resembling a humanoid with unembellished features, these carvings are not reminiscent of the city’s Gungan inhabitants—perhaps an indication that some other civilization might have resided near the floating city.

Hevan crouched near the top of the cliff overlooking the city, hidden in the shadows of night and darkness. He had arrived mere hours earlier with one order: kill Kreb Lerm, a strangely dangerous Gungan, and to take a datacard from his corpse. But as he surveyed the city with his electrobinoculars, one figure stood out from the rest. A humanoid dressed in armour, walking with a Gungan guard. It was hard to not recognise the promminent symbol that was imprinted upon the cape that flew from his shoulders. The symbol of Clan Plagueis.

Confused, Hevan watched, thinking of who in Plagueis could be here. The hat of Hevan's master was not on the person's head, thus it could not be TuQ. They did not walk with the confidence and grace of Selika nor the jovial bounce of Tahiri. Hevan would need to talk before attacking, discern their motive and mission, but if they were to come between the target and him well... a 'accident' could always happen. He watched a bit longer before the person entered a room with the guard, door closing behind them.

"Can I get a list of active Plagueis assets on Naboo please? Preference Delta-Thera-Tallus. ID code 16732." Hevan waited as his request was processed before his commlink crackled into action a robotic voice coming over.

"Active clan assets, file 73215: Dragos, R. ID 4224. Mission status clearance locked. Gerven, W. ID 85743. Mission status clearance locked. Renget, T. ID 94564. Mission status active, est. position 3 klicks NE of Theed. Request submitted at 22:03 Coruscant time, resolved at 22:04 Coruscant time."

Sighing, he got up from his seat near the edge, following a stone staircase carved into the cliff face down. It was obviously well used, the rough stone that the rest of the cliff was made of had been smoothed down where people had walked. The passage, to Hevan's annoyance, passed behind the waterfall, cold water splashing down and soaking him. But, with the grace and subtlety that is to be expected of a member of Plagueis, Hevan persevered regardless.

Arriving at the bottom, stone turned to lush, wet grass. Animals croaked and those that bore wings cried out in the night. It all looked very much like a holopicture to Hevan, the pale blue moon reflected off the smooth surface of the lake, the warm yellow lights of the city illuminating the depths.

"Makes me sick. All this water yet nobody's bothered to pollute it yet! Disgraceful!" Hevan laughed as he slipped slightly, approaching two Gungan guards by one of the doors. The two guards pointed their spears at him, demanding something in a language he did not understand. Rather than waiting for them to calm down or attempt to translate, Hevan took the route he had been taught. A blaster shot to the knee, one to the other's head, then one into the one now laying on the ground.

It was done in a couple seconds, barely a noise made in the whole ordeal. Hevan dragged their bodies out of sight, then entered the city. Thankfully, the city was mostly empty, most clearly being asleep. He walked down the streets, eventually finding himself standing in front of the door where his quarry had entered.

He took a deep breath, raised his pistol and opened the door.
