As you walk through the swampy jungle to the South, you enter the ancient ruins of the Dark Temple. Abandoned and forgotten, the temple has slowly succumbed to the erosion of time. Before you lies the central chamber—the walls have crumbled, the ceiling caved in, and the jungle now flourishes within the once pristine halls.

Green light filters itself through the temple, mixing eerily with the dark, violet hue of Dromund Kaas' sky. Lightning flickers overhead, the raw energy of the Force clashing high above. The floor is overgrown with flora, large plants and grasses that have swallowed the old stone. Wild creatures roam freely, skittering away from your presence, but your heightened senses can feel the brush of vicious predators, hiding just out of sight.

The main hall is lined on both sides by towering statues, heads bowed in supplication. They stand in deference to the sculpture of a pureblooded Sith, which towers over the chamber with outstretched arms. The sculpture has been split diagonally down the middle, as if cleaved in two by a rusted blade, but you can still feel the majesty in the stone.

On either side of the main hall, remnants of branches to inaccessible parts of the temple remain. Ignoring those, your head tilts to take in what is left of the mezzanine—the balcony overlooking the chamber—still held aloft by the great pillars standing behind the statues. Several of the pillars have fallen, providing a pathway up to the mezzanine for those willing to take the risk for higher ground.

You can feel the danger of the temple. Sense the spirits of the Sith that still haunt the grounds, waiting for poor, misguided fools to walk blindly into their domain. Now, they have two souls to consume… that is, if you and your opponent don't destroy each other first.

Dromund Kaas. The com spoke softly, and the Neophyte snapped out of his meditation. He gazed through the windows, still immersed in his thoughts. In front of his freighter was a blue-green planet. His eyes focused on the big olive stain in the southern parts, the infamous jungle, covering the majority of the visible landscape. A few minutes later, as the freighter breached the atmosphere, it was greeted with the horrifying display of power of nature. The virulent storms of purple clashed against the green landscape in an eternal battle of the elements, the dim jungle coming to life as the periodic jolts of lightning struck the ground with a thundering roar, grim clouds enveloping the peaks in the distance. It was as much of a Sith paradise as it gets.

From the get-go Kalu didn’t like the planet. It was dark, creepy, and without life, or so it appeared to be, and shrouded in mystery. Kalu couldn’t name one reason for anybody to even desire to step foot on this planet, let alone build a kriffing temple here. Sure, it served as a shelter to the cult, the planet’s jungle being one of many obstacles for the invaders, but if it was Kalu in charge, he would have chosen a sandy planet, despite the sticky gets-everywhere sand. Brushing his malcontent off, he focused on the reason for his arrival: his brother, Aexod. Mysterious, ominous places with a history of power and violence were Aexod’s passion, which would explain his desire to go and explore the temple, but he was absent for far too long and Kalu felt something was wrong. Aexod was always the loner, honing his personal skills, gaining knowledge and power and despite the calm posture a vicious opponent to the unwary, something the poor human on Nal Hutta couldn’t quite get the grasp of until it was too late.

The reminiscing stopped abruptly as the ship broke through the clouds and headed towards the temple a few miles away. Despite the detest Kalu felt for this planet, the temple was a mighty sight to see. Even now, as crumbled and ruined as it was, with lush vegetation conquering the stone, Kalu awed at the display of the might of the Sith.

As soon as the ship landed, Kalu ventured out and into the temple. The eerie feeling that accompanied him since leaving the ship was getting stronger as he went deeper and deeper through the halls. Halfway through he sensed his brother and it took him couple of detours and obstacle avoiding to reach the central chamber. As he walked in the chamber, lightning ripped the sky in a mighty arc and lit up the temple. He noticed his brother standing motionlessly facing the statue of the Sith warrior; hands behind his back, completely oblivious to his surroundings, or so Kalu thought.

“Hello brother.” Aexod said calmly, still facing the statue. “I m glad you have arrived.”

“Where have you been and what in the world were you doing?” Kalu retorted. “You could have told us you will be gone for a longer period. Ignorant, brother of mine, very ignorant from you.”

The angry tone of the Neophyte's voice didn’t seem to reach the Knight. “Always so preoccupied by others’ sake aren’t you? Have you ever wondered what is it about power that attracts us so madly, keeps us focused, and ultimately forces us to make greatest of sacrifices? “ Aexod asked, turning to face his younger brother, tilting his head to the right and staring at the Neophyte.

“Are you seriously contemplating life now? Have you come here to reach higher levels of consciousness or has a mysterious voice spoken to you in your dreams, telling to to come here in search for answers?”, Kalu shot the questions in a quick succession. “I’m half expecting some Sith Lord of old to come out of shadows and ask for my allegiance. Snap out of it, whatever it is.”

Kalu wasn’t sure what to expect, but laughter that followed his words surprised him. Still smiling after the outburst, Aexod spoke. “Come on, brother, no need to worry. But you will be tested today, and you will learn a valuable lesson.”

“When did the fun Aexod got replaced by this douche?” Kalu said sardonically “You want us to fight? Now?” He started to approach his brother. “Well I guess I can get my answers after I beat the crap out of you.”

Kalu unsheathed his Ryyk blades and rushed across the room towards his motionless brother. Fighting him head on was not going to work, as the Neophyte’s many scars and bruises witnessed, but he needed a distraction. Gathering his strength, he pushed his palm and a gust of air smashed against the statue, sending dust and crumbling bits flying in all directions. Aexod moved to the left, almost casually, avoiding the danger completely while simultaneously grabbing his zhaboka and unleashing a flurry of swings in the direction of his brother. The sounds of thunder and metal danced across the room almost in synchronization with the Zabraki.

Pushing himself away from the zhaboka’s deadly range, Kalu took a moment to recuperate. The few wounds he gained in the exchange didn’t seem too serious but Kalu needed a breather. It was a perfect time for counterattack so he watched his brother’s movements carefully. Aexod, on the other hand, besides torn robes, remained unscathed.

“You’ve improved a lot since last time we battled. Weird choice of weapons though. Zhaboka not good enough for you?” He asked with a cheeky smile. “No more going easy on you though.” Aexod said as he raised his weapon and attacked his brother.
