You step out onto the training field and squint momentarily as the sunlight hits your face. When your eyes adjust, you look around you and see the trappings common to military campuses - stout buildings with fluttering flags, a paved parade square, and heavily armed battlements. The training field itself is meticulously maintained grass that could easily act as a landing field for dozens of fighters and transports. The horizon is clear of all but trees and the ominous weapons turrets that ring the walls.

The cadets of the Taldryan Military Institute see you, tensing to attention as they notice your battle armour. They are hurriedly ordered off the field by their officers and rush into the safety of the closest buildings. You see the guards in the battlements re-direct their attention from the exterior of the campus to you, but they know not to interfere in the affairs of Jedi.

Without the bustle of the cadets and the barked orders of their officers, the air grows still and even the sounds of animals quiets. You walk to the center of the training field and wait for your opponent

Tyron Kesh checked his data pad for the time and saw that Jedd Kunar was late but knowing Jedd he wasn't surprised. Tyron stood in the middle of the Karufr Taldryan Military Institute growing impatient waiting for his former apprentice to arrive. When all of the sudden as he was about to leave his apprentice walked onto the field with an air of overall confidence. "About time you showed up Jedd." Said Tyron arrogantly. "Forgive me master I prefer to be fashionably late." Said Jedd with a mocking bow. "Nevertheless this is your last chance to leave before I destroy you." Tyron said daringly. "Hahaha!don't make me laugh." Jedd said with a chuckle. "So be it." Tyron said. Tyron saw the attack coming before it happened and was ready with his Lightsaber ignited when Jedd fired four blaster bolts he deflected them with ease. Next thing Tyron knew the Neophyte had ignited his own Lightsaber and leapt a few feet ahead of Tyron. Tyron charged with a force of a Rancor relentlessly pursuing its prey. Jedd met his attack head on with his Lightsaber clashing with Tyron's making an 'X' of green and red lines. Before Jedd could make another parry Tyron swept out his legs from underneath him causing him to fall on his back. Tyron put his Lightsaber inches away from Jedd's face. Jedd threw up his hands in a surrendering manner. "Do you yield?" Tyron said triumphantly. Absolutely... NOT!" Jedd said thrusting his right hand towards Tyron's face, a blinding light emanating from his hand. Tyron instinctively threw his hands up to his eyes attempting to rub out the blinding pain. Once his eyesight returned Tyron saw that the Neophyte had gotten back to his feet and drawn his Electrostaff spinning it too fast for the eye to follow. Tyron's lips curled into a snarl. Tyron drew his Lightsaber back to his hand igniting it and took a defensive stance.

With Tyron Kesh disoriented for a few seconds Jedd Kunar was able to get back to his feet and draw his Electrostaff. Once his opponents eyesight returned the Hunter immediately realized Jedd was back to his feet, drew his Lightsaber back to his hand and ignited it within milliseconds. Jedd's former master took a defensive stance and waited for his Jedd to make his move. Jedd was determined not to make him wait too long. The Neophyte leapt through the air with augmented grace through the aid of the Force. He arced through the air in a high parabola and landed behind his opponent nearly catching him off guard but Tyron swiveled around at the last minute parrying Jedd's incoming strike. The Hunter went on the offensive whilst Jedd parried his incoming strikes with ease. When Tyron was a step slow retreating after one of his attacks Jedd gave him a sharp kick in the thigh. An blow not meant to hurt him but to goad him onto further anger. Jedd's kick had had the desired effect: the next time Tyron came at him his face was twisted with snarling rage. His fury allowed him to call upon the dark side, making him even more dangerous as he unleashed his next series of attacks. Leaping high in the air, crouching low to the ground, lunging forward, springing back, spinning, twisting, and twirling, he came at Jedda from every conceivable angle in a relentless barrage meant to overwhelm his defenses, The Neophyte was forced to frantically parry his attacks and leap back. Before Jedd could collect himself Tyron had unleashed a storm of deadly purple lightning directly at Jedd. With hardly enough time to throw up any protection or dodge the attack the Neophyte was struck square in the chest. Jedd yelled out in agony falling to the floor.

Tyron Kesh watched as his opponent was electrocuted falling to the floor in a scream of pure agony. Tyron savored on Jedd Kunar's pain using the Dark Side to rejuvenate him and give him the strength to jump and land a few inches in front of his opponent. the Neophyte was still alive although hardly breathing Tyron began to raise his Lightsaber to deliver the blow when suddenly Jedd awoke and struggled to throw his hands up in surrender. Tyron didn't care if his opponent surrendered or not he had the need to kill and he would not let Jedd Kunar live to see another light of day. "Any last words Jedd?!" Tyron shouted. "Please master have mercy." Jedd said struggling to move his lips. "Those who ask for mercy, are too weak to deserve it." Tyron said triumphantly and with no remorse Tyron Kesh struck down Jedd Kunar, slashing diagonally at his torso. As he walked away from the body towards the entrance of the Training Field he sensed the incoming danger nearly too late. Parrying the incoming Lightsaber at the last moment and when he saw the face of his attack he realized how foolish he had been. The Jedd Kunar he had killed had only been an illusion, a trick Jedd Kunar had played on his mind. He silently cursed himself for allowing himself to fall for the trick. Tyron letting his anger feed his fury he threw his Lightsaber up allowing it to arch and once it began to come back down he leapt up and grabbed it, came crashing down he cut down the Jedi in half ending the battle once and for all.

Jedd Kunar fell to the floor in agony, hardly breathing but still alive. He saw Tyron Kesh walking towards him with his Lightsaber pointed directly at the Neophytes face. "Any last words Jedd?!" Tyron shouted. "Please have mercy... master." Jedd struggled to say. "Those who ask for mercy, are too weak to deserve it... And I am no longer your master." With no remorse Tyron Kesh struck Jedd Kunar down completely ignoring Jedd's scream.
