Every legendary story seems to have at least one charming and optimistic character. If that's the case, then it only makes sense that Bo-Taen has decided to be that person. After all, if everyone is too busy whining and groaning about the negatives, how will anyone ever reach the positive? True, Bo-Taen's constant belief that things will get better can be terribly grating, especially to pessimists or those just level-headed enough to realize when things truly are going downhill, but Bo-Taen's constant positive outlook can serve to sometimes spur others to action when it feels like the world just wants them to lay down and die.

Bo-Taen is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

Bo-Taen is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, he doesn't grumble, but gives a whistle. He always hopes for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around him, and Bo-Taen is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing his terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.

Bo-Taen is loyal and devoted to his Clan, and eager to serve the cause and ideals of the Jedi when he gets older. However, he's seldom faced combat outside of the Praxeum and hasn't taken a life, nor does he want to. He is guided by the principle of doing the right thing not for reward, but because it needs doing, and wants to protect people because they need protecting. He believes people deserve redemption and a second chance. This makes him a solid and reliable ally and a good friend, but it also means he's prone to hesitating and that he might let his guard down if a crafty enemy were to convince him that they just needed to be saved.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Bo-Taen will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.

Bo-Taen typically fights to protect allies and save people from harm rather than to hurt or kill the enemy. He'd sooner blow up a machine or activate a blast door than strike at a person. That said, he's very sentimental toward people, creatures, and even droids in the service of his Clan - and very protective of them. When someone is cruel or inflicts undue suffering on someone he cares about, it turns his resolve into iron and stokes his temper to an inferno. This often gives him the strength to battle back foes in the worst of times. However, it also makes him reckless and overly aggressive when triggered in this way, and an enemy could easily lure him into a trap or even put him at risk of falling to the Dark Side by hurting someone he cares about.
