Despite being discharged by Wuntila, Marick Arconae personally set out to retrieve Captain Bly and asked him to return to the Citadel. The Shadow Lord needed people he could trust, and the two had worked closely together when Marick was still just Captain of Arcona's Black Ops team. To further demonstrate his trust in Bly, Marick has given the Captain his Sapphire Blade and Amethyst Kukri to wield. Bly is determined to make his Consul proud and to repair whatever damage his reputation has suffered.

Few alive have a better understanding of the Arcona Citadel than Captain Bly. He has spent the better part of his adult life living in the Shadow Clans headquarters and knows every passage, shortcut, quirk, and fact about the buildings layout and design. Bly doesn't consider anywhere else in the Galaxy home, and will give his life to protect it from intruders. He takes any gap or flaw in security personaly. Few things transpire in the Arcona Citadel without his knowledge or approval, and he has the full support of Shadow Lord Marick Arconae to handle security detail and patrol assignments.

Captain Bly knows nothing else in life but how to be a soldier. Born and bread for combat, Bly is gruff, direct, and to the point. He has little patience for incompetence, inefficiency, or lack of discipline. He believes in following orders and ensuring that others do the same. He uses colorful language that he most likely developed from spending too much time with former Consul Sashar Erinos and is not afraid to speak his mind to his fellow soldiers. When dealing with a direct superior, however, Bly is reserved, calculated, measured and respectful. He has no objections to drinking when off-duty, and is still confident he can take on any of the younger soldiers that think they can hold their own in a contest.

Few members of the Arcona Armed Forces are as respected as Captain Bly. His service record and accolades speak for themselves, especially among those in the Summit Guard. His loyalty and reputation, however, took a significant hit after being aggressively discharged and removed from his position during the War of Three Families. Since returning, at the request of Marick Arconae, Bly has had to work twice as hard now to re-establish himself as a loyal compatriot, and he'd be lying if the skeptical tones of the younger Guardsman didn't sting his mending pride. In truth, he owes his life to the Shadow Clan and will gladly give his life without hesitation for its preservation.

When you spend your career in the protecting and guarding the lives of Dark Jedi that constantly engage in skirmishes, conflicts, and wars, you develop a type of endurance that is just as much mental as it is physical. Captain Bly knows how to take a hit better than most and if someone does manage to knock him off his feet, it is never for long. Resilient as a Rancor, Bly has made it this far in life from his ability to simply outlast his opponents. Paired with his fearless approach to combat, he earned the nickname, "Bulkhead Bly."

Captain Bly has spent years honing his abilities as an ARC Trooper and in serving as the Captain of Arcona's Summit Guard. After being relieved of his duties by Consul-emeritus Wuntila Arconae, he took a leave of absence from Arcona and discovered during his travel that he was capable of using the Force, albeit in a limited fashion. Bly is still learning how to use his new abilities in conjunction with the rest of his skills and military training. This creates moments where he can either over or under compensate what he is capable of performing. He is limited to being able to sense incoming danger, shrug off attacks that would cripple any regular soldier and to briefly augment his body. Bly also knows that he will be under-estimated by would-be threats if they assume he is a mundane, so he has yet to tell anyone about his talent and simply lets his continued exploits fuel his reputation.
