Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Onyx has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.

This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.

Onyx is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing his duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in his decision making. He sometimes ignores orders or finds ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.

Onyx is mesmerized by anything shiny and can easily spot shiny objects from a distance. This makes him good at finding things of importance or value, but he may also be distracted by pretty baubles.

Onyx is known for walking tall despite being of below average stature. he is quick to anger when called out for his height, and is not afraid of taking on an opponent regardless of their size or intimidation factor. This same tenacity makes Onyx easier to rile up, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation at hand.
