Commander Lvorth'kala'myr, or Orthala as he is commonly known, is an imposing figure of Chiss stoicism and grace. At six feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, his body bears the results of a lifetime dedicated to the rigorous demands of the Taldryan Navy. His physique is robust yet lean, echoing a strict training regimen and a lifestyle steeped in discipline. His upright stance vividly embodies this discipline, reflecting the unyielding military bearing instilled within him.
Like his fellow Chiss, Commander Orthala's skin is a distinctive blue, deepening in shadow and radiating an aura of enigmatic charm. The sinewy outlines of his body are well-defined, the testament of countless hours dedicated to physical training and conditioning. His hands, broad and skilled, are accustomed to issuing commands and steering his crew through the tumultuous waves of battle.
The structure of his face is angular and firm, with a complex pattern of stern lines and severe expressions. Beneath his furrowed brow reside a pair of intense, calculating red eyes—a signature trait of the Chiss. These eyes are habituated to scrutinizing star maps and assessing potential threats with unnerving precision.
Commander Orthala's jet-black hair is kept with military exactness, closely cropped at the back and sides, contrasting his vibrant blue skin. However, the hair at the front is styled in a manner that's both professional and slightly rebellious.
Among his most distinct features, Orthala bears no discernible scars or markings. His skin is a flawless expanse of deep blue, unmarred by the ravages of war or combat. It is an unusual sight among those who have dedicated their lives to the Navy.
Lvorth'kala'myr sees himself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Lvorth'kala'myr keeps his wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to him being considered anti-social and when he does join others, instead of relaxing he prefers to keep quiet and observe.
When Lvorth'kala'myr does things, he makes sure everything is done correctly, no matter how long it takes. This means there are frequent delays in Lvorth'kala'myr's work, but it's usually done right, at least.
Lvorth'kala'myr considers his work to be the most important aspect of his life. This borderline obsessions with the "job" leaves little room for any kind of personal or social life, making it difficult for Lvorth'kala'myr to relax and enjoy spending time with others. he excels in activities that relate to their work, but the idea of work-life balance is an altogether abstract concept.
People tend to reverently follow Lvorth'kala'myr’s lead and look up to him in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that Lvorth'kala'myr genuinely believes what he does. This is all a clever facade, however, as Lvorth'kala'myr is not always as upstanding and respectable as his followers believe. He is no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering his own machinations.
Without the gift of the Force, Lvorth'kala'myr has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Lvorth'kala'myr has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes him lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.
Lvorth'kala'myr has an uncanny knack for identifying traps and alerting others to them. Now, if only he could consistently do it BEFORE the trap goes off...
