Agate Gua'lara is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing her duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in her decision making. She sometimes ignores orders or finds ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.
Agate Gua'lara's skills as a medic are not just limited to holo-books and lectures. She has read up and practiced a handful of experimental treatments while inventing a few home remedies of her own. This allows Agate Gua'lara to work outside the box in less than ideal situations, and can lead to her solving mysteries other trained medics might struggle with. This, of course, comes with its own string of failures, as nothing is ever perfect. That, and some of the more established professionals in the field often doubt or question Agate Gua'lara's alternative practices. She typically brushes them off in favor of doing everything she can to help a patient, but does quietly seek recognition for accomplishments as a healer.
Agate Gua'lara prefers to push the rules to the absolute limit. While she is unlikely to actually break rules or disobey orders, she toes the line between what is allowed and what isn't at every opportunity.
Agate Gua'lara is a lateral thinker, and when she encounters problems or dilemmas, she is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Agate Gua'lara to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Agate Gua'lara can typically explain and lead others through her plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust her outside thinking.
Agate Gua'lara doesn't like to kill people; instead she chooses to injure her opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.
Agate Gua'lara, like most of her peers, has trained with a blaster though, just like any weapon, hates to use it. Instead, when forced to fight, Agate Gua'lara will use her surgical scalpels and anesthetics (poisons) to attempt to injure and incapacitate opponents. This requires her to get extremely close to her attackers and leaves her vulnerable to more maritally-inclined fighters and ranged specialists.
