Kant Lavar generally rejects any identity as a Sith or Jedi, seeing both sides as too limiting. Life and death, Dark and Light, plants and animals; the universe exists as a system of systems, and to deny half of it is to deny half of existence. Kant Lavar uses both sides of the Force, and while he does his best to do the right thing for the innocent, he can slip into "the ends justify the means" somewhat; mercy is something to be exercised when you have the luxury, he feels, but you cannot forget that some evil is simply beyond toleration and needs to be removed by any means necessary.

Kant Lavar suffers from what he refers to as "Force-enabled wanderlust." This means that at times he will feel an urge to go elsewhere, guided by the Force, for various tasks. Sometimes this means he is gone for a few weeks, sometimes for years. While this does mean he has a lot of experience in the greater galaxy, this also means that he can at times be somewhat disconnected from the happenings in his clan and the Brotherhood. It also can mean that he may be "fashionably late" when he is suddenly needed for a situation.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Kant Lavar's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Kant Lavar has wandered the galaxy for many years, and has seen and done many things in that time. This can cause him to have a somewhat cynical, "been there, done that" attitude, but it does mean that very little tends to surprise him, and most other things only briefly put him off-balance. When something does genuinely take him by surprise, it can take him a little longer to regain his equilibrium.

While Kant Lavar does carry a lightsaber and use the Force, generally trying to help others, he rejects the identity of a Jedi entirely, considering himself Grey at best. He tends to be much more aggressive than a Jedi is supposed to be, and does not reject his emotions in "proper" Jedi fashion. He will use the Light or Dark Side as seems best to the situation and can be far, far less merciful than most who see him expect.

Kant Lavar will never go into any situation head-on. Whether it be combat or just strolling down the street, he will stick to the shadows or cloak themselves in the Force. The less they are seen the better. If they cannot sneak up on someone, then Kant Lavar will not bother confronting them.
