Asani grew up never knowing her family. She was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to her age, Asani bounced from owner to owner until she became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in her life, Asani has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, she will most likely lash out in some way, regardless if it compromises her objective.

Asani is extremely competitive and strives to become the best at every task she is given. The benefit of this cutthroat approach to life and work is that she will always give 100%, pushing herself to her physical or mental limits to overcome any task. However, Asani’s overzealous ambition makes her insufferable to all but the most patient of companions, making it difficult to make friends while she either proves successful or utterly fails at being the best.

Asani tells it like she sees it, when she thinks it; and she doesn't try to sugar coat what she says.

Asani is known for walking tall despite being of below average stature. She is quick to anger when called out for her height, and is not afraid of taking on an opponent regardless of their size or intimidation factor. This same tenacity makes Asani easier to rile up, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation at hand.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Asani has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows her the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Asani then uses her own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Asani has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Asani works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Asani has learned to not take jabs about her stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for her inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Asani's discipline of never overestimating her own abilities or those of her opponents. She has trained to fully utilize her size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. She knows exactly how to leverage her weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Asani becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.
