Wedge is a rather tall human male with kept brown hair and striking blue eyes. He bares a standard expression that could be easily mistaken for cocky self-importance to compliment his eager-to-please manner towards his peers and superiors.
He keeps a disciplined tone to his body that has a light complexion and an unscathed outer appearance. While there is no visible markings of scar, lesion, or design on the outside of his body, the calluses and muscle indicate the labor and physical effort he has endured to be here.
Wedge has no home planet, at least not one that he can remember. As a child, Wedge would spend most of his time on different starships and grew accustomed to the atmosphere and nuances of space and the various crafts that traverse it. As a result, Wedge feels more comfortable on a ship than on any planet.
Having been born inside a star-ship as opposed to planet-side, Wedge has never had a particular world to call his home. He grew up in an environment that requires being of use in order to survive, and without the borders that breed patriotism. The allegiances of the galaxy mean little to him, only the strength of individual merit. He is most at peace when in space, and will take on any contract or mission that enables him to remain firmly seated in a cockpit.
This utter lack of affiliation often results in what can be construed as insubordination and disloyalty, putting him at odds with those that value such things.
All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Wedge is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Wedge, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.
Wedge is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, he doesn't grumble, but gives a whistle. He always hopes for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around him, and Wedge is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing his terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Wedge? Wedge doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Wedge, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Wedge isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Wedge won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Wedge will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.
Without the gift of the Force, Wedge has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Wedge has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes him lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.
