Blarex is as unremarkable as Duros come. Their teal skin, red eyes, lipless mouth and nose-less face are all standard for his species. They have a slim build with little visible musculature with or without clothing covering their body.
Every legendary story seems to have at least one charming and optimistic character. If that's the case, then it only makes sense that Blarex has decided to be that person. After all, if everyone is too busy whining and groaning about the negatives, how will anyone ever reach the positive? True, Blarex's constant belief that things will get better can be terribly grating, especially to pessimists or those just level-headed enough to realize when things truly are going downhill, but Blarex's constant positive outlook can serve to sometimes spur others to action when it feels like the world just wants them to lay down and die.
Blarex is perfectly capable of fulfilling responsibilities and doing their duties. But goofing off and having fun will always have a heavy sway in their decision making. They sometimes ignore orders or find ways to spend as much time avoiding an assignment as possible.
Blarex is very cheerful and happy, and always looks on the bright side of life. When chewing on life’s gristle, they don't grumble, but give a whistle. They always hope for the best, and enjoys laughing, smiling, dancing or singing. This unending optimism often improves the morale and spirit of everyone around them, and Blarex is always quick with a smile or a joke, even when drawing their terminal breath. This same exuberance can also be tiring to more jaded curmudgeons.
Despite their line of work, Blarex still sees themself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those they does not know. Blarex only lets the mask slip to show their more laid back nature to those they trusts. To those they dislikes, they will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what they might be offending.
While Blarex avoids combat whenever possible, they have no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Blarex has trained themself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Blarex almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.
Blarex has an uncanny knack for identifying traps and alerting others to them. Now, if only they could consistently do it BEFORE the trap goes off...
