Syido is a three foot tall Lagomorph humanoid covered in fur with rabbit-like features with two long expressive ears atop of the head and a long tail roughly a third his overall length. His fur is a snowy white with light brown accenting the tail, ears and part of the abdominal area running along the spine, shoulders and top of his head. Syido's face, like other Kushiban, has ape-like features with forward facing eyes complimented by a lush green. With rounded cheeks and a keen snout, the mouth and nose are small compared to his overall face. His fur was long and straight, and change color based on surrounding environment or emotional stimuli to brown, grey or even black in intense emotion. Syido is thin and lithe with his fur fluffed out to make his body seem bigger than it actually is, his tail being the most pronounced of "too fluffy."
Syido somehow always finds himself in tricky situations that put him in over his head. As such, Syido always seems to be digging himself out of some kind of dilemma. While this speaks to Syido’s ability to think outside the box to find solutions, his moral code often gets in the way of taking the easy way out.
Syido's life is filled with training and learning for all sorts of situations, from the mind-numbingly normal to the utterly bizarre. As such, Syido has developed into a rather resourceful individual. This has made Syido a mix of academic and scholar, always with something to offer to any discussion. However, knowledge and training does not always translate well to the tense environment of the battlefield, and no amount of textbooks can prepare one for reality...
While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Syido's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.
Syido is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Syido to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Syido can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.
Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Syido has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Syido then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Syido has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
Syido's passion for technology extends beyond his talent with Slicing. He truly believes that wars can be won with technology, not soldiers, and will always try to avoid direct combat if he can afford it. Instead, he prefers to deploy clever traps with Explosives, or turn technology against others as a weapon. Syido would rather overload a circuit breaker to shock a guard into submission than to test his luck with his hands or a blaster. If removed from technology or his gadgets, however, Syido can easily be overwhelmed. Fortunately, he has no qualms with throwing a smoke grenade down and running for dear life.
