Videk is a Kiffar of a thick build and average height with tanned skin. He has light brown colored eyes and black, straight hair that is kept shoulder length and braided its full length from front to back. He has a traditional Qukuuf tattoo in red that is a vertical line from just above his right eye straight down to the middle of his right cheek.
As a battle in a small Imperial town was ending his clan leader ordered the women and children to be hunted down and killed in revenge for the Night of a Thousand Tears. Unable, to reconcile this with his conscience or his honor, Videk Torr refused to participate. Videk was stripped of his Beskar armor, labeled Dar’manda by his clan, and exiled. Now, he seeks redemption, honor, and justice.
Once a devout follower of the Resol’nare, Videk Torr has found parts of it lacking in its implementation. Particularly the authority given to Clan and House leaders as the ultimate judge, jury, and executioner of its tenants. Believing the actions he took that got him exiled were honorable, Videk now questions the validity of the way and its devotion to leaders who act without honor and can pass judgment on those who do not follow them.
While Videk Torr gives the appearance of an impulsive, trigger-happy renegade, with a gruff exterior, he has a good heart. His actions may seem reckless, but they’re driven by a desire to protect others. He’ll charge into a firefight to shield an innocent person or friend.
More of a survival trait than anything else Videk Torr has a deep-seated fear of betrayal after his exile. Those he trusted most, his clan, betrayed him and this scar is still obvious in his mindset. This will lead him to withdraw from others, even when he has no reason. Loneliness has become a companion, preferable to the risk of vulnerability. Unwavering trust is a foreign concept to him.
Videk Torr doesn’t waste time analyzing battle scenarios or plans. When the fighting starts, he reacts on instinct and intuition. His mind skips the tactical flowcharts and dives straight into the fray. This is often frustrating to those he may be with, particularly those with a more analytical mind.
Forget textbook techniques and tactics. Videk Torr invents his own moves: the “Blaster Spin,” the “Surprise Headbutt,” and the “Flying Throat Punch” are all examples of risky and inventive tactics enemies never see coming. Sometimes it’s brilliance; other times, it’s a spectacular failure.
