Edgar is a lightly tanned Human male and has medium brown hair and eyes, a well-toned body that has seen a lot of action resulting in a rugged appearance. He stands 1.78 Meters tall weighing about 95kg. His hands are marked with callouses, and he bears two scars, one barely noticeable on his face and the other a large plasma burn on his left thigh.
From a very early age, Edgar was brought up with a deep-seated sense of honor and devotion. As he has matured and many of his beliefs have changed, his core concepts of family, duty, honor and protecting the ones that can’t protect themselves have remained. When on a mission, he will do everything he can to succeed and to protect the things that matter most to him at any cost. As a leader in Odan-Urr, especially in the House of Hoth, he will do his best to protect his home but he is forced to make hard choices between the people he cares for and his clan. In such situations, he'll most likely fall on the side that's most immediately important to him, relying on harsh and decisive means. This good and bad, potentially making him abandon the mission for the sake of his personal views.
Edgar’s paternal side of the family was rooted in the dark side and his early days saw a tough upbringing. Eventually, he rejected that way of life for what it had done to his mother. Finding the light side to be just as oppressive, Edgar lost all hope. It was only then and after years of searching he finally found his 'true path' of the Force. He recognizes and rejects both sides as cults perverting its true nature. Through this rejection, he sees himself as free from outside corruption and follows his own path and moral code. Edgar can relate the best with grey and light side Jedi but he also can get along with and in some cases work well with darksiders if he sees them as a means to an end. Still, this rejection of their 'corruption' can instantly put them at odds during a crucial moment.
Edgar knows the location of most bars, casinos and other not so family friendly locations from his many years as a smuggler. So, whether on a mission or on a day off, he can find and feel more at home in these places than any fancy social event. He also keeps a network of informants that either owe him a favour or he owes them a favour. He has learned to skate the line of legality, and breaking a rule or law to accomplish a goal doesn’t make Edgar think twice anymore. Edgar’s excellent skill at both drinking, gambling, trash talk and bravado tend to land him and anyone he is with into a more eventful evening then they planned, and not always in a good way.
Edgar is a very private person and can be somewhat aloof. He tends not to be seen mingling in large social settings. As he was brought up in the lower levels of Coruscant, he feels awkward being in formal settings and easily gets bored and anxious. Edgar also doesn’t make friends easily, although this isn’t to say he can’t mentor someone or work well in groups and as a leader. He just doesn’t let many people into his private life much. He has lost family, both blood and adopted, and has been betrayed by those close to him before. The sting of betrayal and the pain of failing his loved ones still haunts him to this day and, for that reason, it takes Edgar a longer time than most to fully trust and rely on a person if he does at all.
Edgar subscribes to the philosophy of 'Why do I care?'. As a result, he won't initiate combat unless required for the mission or a violation of his moral code. He isn't the sort of person to 'kill on sight' just because someone doesn't follow his path. Edgar will acknowledge them and then attempt not to engage, maintaining a wary readiness. This is not to say if his life was threatened that he wouldn't defend himself. He just would remain disdainful of any threats, applying sarcasm and disinterest until left with no choice.
When all else fails, feeling forced into combat, Edgar will rely on quick and decisive actions with little regard towards his environment or well-being. This gives him a short-lived surprise that falls by the wayside to his lack of planning, also potentially putting his allies at risk. Through improvisation, he constantly looks to gain control of the fight.
Edgar utilizes the time before being an engagement to do his due diligence. He relies on Perception and Concealment to get the lay of the land. When knowable entering a dangerous situation, he will hide his Force signature and strength from potential threats. He never wants to give up the element of surprise until he is armed with the advantage of knowledge.
Once engaged, he uses his biting wit and combat skills to feel out his adversary's abilities. Edgar becomes rather talkative and attempts to drive the focus away from combat strength and allowing instincts to take over after extended engagements. These are just some of many dirty tactics he has no problem utilizing, throwing in underhanded Telekinesis and slugthrowers when needed. When unable to maintain control, Edgar can fall into a berserker like state, trying to smash his way to safety even at the cost of increased vulnerability.
