Despite whatever all his other characteristics may convey, Jax Calderon retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in his body language - his walk, his stance, his expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems he borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much he enjoys his own company.

Behind a dry wit and laid-back demeanor, Jax is fiercely loyal to those he deems worthy of his trust. He has a soft spot for those who have suffered injustices, whom he will try to help if he can.

Jax values pragmatism. Though he won't be a jerk for its own sake, he will prioritizing efficiency and practicality over sentimentality. Because of his focus on achieving the best outcome, he can sometimes make decisions rashly.

While Jax’s confidence in his piloting and combat skills is well-earned, it sometimes leads him to take unnecessary risks. His penchant for daring maneuvers and bold decisions can put both himself and his allies in precarious situations.

Jax is more Katrila's trusted bodyguard—he considers her a friend. He will put himself in danger to protect her and, if the need were to arise, sacrifice himself.
