Since his childhood, Veil has been especially attuned to the Force. When he reaches outwards from himself the subtle, peaceful currents he feels can quickly become crashing waves that overwhelm his senses and control. Being highly sensitive makes it easier for him to be distracted or even become confused. This is especially the case with Precognition, where Veil sometimes finds himself reacting too early to stimuli causing him to make awkward mistakes in both speech and actions.

His acute senses are a double-edged blade, in that they can also provide highly specific details about his surroundings and the people and objects therein. This allows him to quickly gather and process information, even about his enemies, with which he makes use of for both investigations and battles.

Veil has a keen and inquisitive mind. He learned growing up on the streets that knowledge is power, and quick wits are necessary for survival. Because he distances himself emotionally from others, he tends to be very analytical when dealing with people, especially strangers. People are puzzles and puzzles are meant to be solved. This applies as much to allies as it does to potential enemies.

He applies this same aggressive need to acquire knowledge to other pursuits as well. When a problem presents itself, Veil immediately seeks to deconstruct and resolve it as quickly as possible. His ability to craft unique solutions has been a boon to his early career in the Brotherhood.

Veil's life has been a series of betrayals that has left him with an inability to trust or rely on others. He fears intimacy and tends to push people away even when they are offering him help. To prove his strength and independence, he tends to work alone rather than with others, forging ahead despite his fears and self-doubt.

Through his Trials, Veil developed a strong resolve and determination to overcome any challenge posed to him with his own ingenuity and sheer force of will. He seeks power to protect himself from a Galaxy that he believes is both cruel and uncaring.

Veil is a teenage boy and, like most teenage boys, often finds himself at the mercy of his rampant hormones. Though he tries to act maturely and logically, he is often afflicted by bouts of irrationality and stubbornness and bursts of emotion. He tends to be brooding and self-isolated, and is often crushed by self-doubt. He is still desperately trying to find his footing in both the Brotherhood and in life.

Veil also finds his interactions with the opposite sex difficult, embarrassing, or just plain confusing at times. This is especially true of girls his own age. He's more likely to make a social faux-pas or be overcome by nerves when dealing with them. His association with a beautiful, but dangerously handsy, Hapan lady as a preteen has given him a mild trauma towards aggressive, older women.

The deadliest strike is one the opponent doesn't see coming. Veil prefers to 'solve' a battle before the fight even begins. Using his sharpened senses—both physical and metaphysical—he reads his opponents, the battlefield, and the subtle flow of the Force to determine the optimal path to stalk his targets and eliminate them before they realize they're under attack. However, Veil is still a learner of the Shadow Discipline and can't always land a killing blow even in ideal circumstances. This places him at a severe disadvantage in combat, as his martial skills are still very much in development.

To mitigate the danger his lack of skill engenders, Veil likes to begin a fight wrapped in shadows, where he feels safest. By making use of the entire battlefield to break lines of sight and maneuver around his opponents, he will attempt to strike quickly then fade into shadows again to formulate his next move or determine his next objective.

Lacking in physical power and endurance, Veil makes use of his abilities to end conflicts while putting himself in the least danger possible. He has learned to accept he can't always stand toe-to-toe with an enemy, so he makes use of any trick he can to stave of pain and death, regardless of how petty or "dishonorable" it may be. Survival is all that matters.

When forced into a direct confrontation, Veil prefers to fight defensively utilizing his Barrier and Precognition powers to avoid attacks, while using Telekinetic Strikes to keep his opponents out of range and set them off-balance. By combining his acute senses with his precognitive abilities, Veil seeks to keep his opponents at bay until he can land a strike or slip back into the shadows.
