Beten Erinos is a stocky muscular human male just reaching the end of adolescence. With short curly black hair usually styled by his helmet, heavy brows, tanned skin the colour of well-milked caf and dark brown eyes, he is quick to smile and seems to have a face made for it.
His musculature is easily evident and it's obvious he has spent a lifetime planing his body for combat, possessing the build of a fighter more than a bodybuilder. He has hair on his arms, legs and a dusting across his torso but remains unable to grow any facial hair of substance (but doesn't stop him from trying to cultivate a little on his chin and above his lip). His skin is free of blemishes or scars and he has no tattoos.
Master Beten Erinos has not created any public loadouts yet.
Scourged of Flaws
Like Sashar’s other children, Jorad and Beten weren’t born; they were commissioned. Using a genetic template from Sashar and his long-time paramor Dash Kuatir, the twins were designed to be flawless. Any predisposition to diseases or allergies has been removed from their genome. They have been designed to be the perfect athletes, have an overactive metabolism, and their memory is eidetic. The net effect gives the boys a disquieting mien of perfection that does not waver. Even in failure, they seem flawless. This leads others to occasionally forget the fact that they are, when all is said and done, only human, and a young pair of humans at that.
Jorad and Beten are the sons of Sashar Erinos. His name was well-known - for good or ill - in the Brotherhood for a long time, and whilst some memories fade, the stories don’t. It isn’t uncommon for the twins to either be held to blame for the sins of their father, or else compared directly to him. This is a double-edged sword, for obvious reasons.
Beten has been around his twin brother since before they were born. They are never far from one another and have an extremely close bond, even for twins. They intuitively know what the other is thinking, how the other will react and work seamlessly together in most situations, becoming two halves of a whole. When separated from his brother for any length of time, Beten initially becomes distracted and struggles to manage independently, taking time to adapt to being on his own.
Compared to his brother, Beten is a lot more focused and serious but not without moments of levity as he is quite fond of pranks. He is prone to bouts of brooding introspection and could definitely be classified as neurodivergent, overanalysing a lot of what he does and says, and subsequently entering periods of self-loathing as a result. Jorad seems to be the only person who can drag his brother from these funks as Beten is slow to trust, but once his loyalty is earned, it is for life.
Jorad and Beten have trained together since they could walk. They complement each other perfectly in combat and often don’t need to communicate verbally for one to know what the other has planned. They instinctively protect and cover one another, often at the expense of all else. This excellent display of teamwork has its drawbacks, however, as if one of them were to be incapacitated, it would surely be devastating to the other.
Beten relies on Jorad to take a lot of the attention in combat, preferring to hang back and wait for the opportune moment. A close-to-mid-range fighter, Beten usually lets Jorad fully engage whatever foe they’re facing before watching, analysing and then wading in with his own custom-curated form of violence (usually in the form of a sword-wound to the gut or heavy blaster fire). When surprised, however, Beten can switch gears and fight on the fly, but for the quieter of the twins, preparation time is key.
