Mao’han Vane stands at five foot ten with a sturdy build, pale green skin, and yellow snake-like eyes that seem to bulge slightly due to their larger size. Keeping his head and face clean shaven, the only other distinguishing mark he bears that would set him apart from any other Clawdite is the missing ring finger from his right hand that had been severed off.
Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to Mao’han Vane. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to him as Mao’han Vane only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell Mao’han Vane to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.
Mao’han Vane has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.
Despite an aversion for physical confrontation, Mao’han Vane has a quick-witted and sharp sense of humour, and never passes up the opportunity to make a quip or jibe about his situation, or to taunt his enemies. While some find Mao’han Vane to be funny and likeable, others do not always respond so warmly, and occasionally Mao’han Vane will get himself into more trouble than he thought when someone takes a joke the wrong way.
Mao’han Vane is mesmerized by anything shiny and can easily spot shiny objects from a distance. This makes him good at finding things of importance or value, but he may also be distracted by pretty baubles.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Mao’han Vane? Mao’han Vane doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Mao’han Vane, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Mao’han Vane isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Mao’han Vane won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Mao’han Vane will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.
Through a mixture of cocksure courage and arrogant swagger, Mao’han Vane will not back down from a challenge when called out, even if the wiser path is to walk away or let it go. Mao’han Vane's personality does tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way, which generally puts him into situations that escalate quickly to violence. While he may not be the one to always start a fight, he will always see it through to it’s conclusion. Some have tried to play a challenge off as idle banter, but when Mao’han Vane initiates or accepts a challenge, he does not hold back.
