When Athrun Zala does things, he makes sure everything is done correctly, no matter how long it takes. This means there are frequent delays in Athrun Zala's work, but it's usually done right, at least.

Athrun Zala has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.

Athrun Zala is mesmerized by anything shiny and can easily spot shiny objects from a distance. This makes him good at finding things of importance or value, but he may also be distracted by pretty baubles.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Athrun Zala's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

If Athrun Zala had been in Greedo’s shoes, Han Solo would be pushing up daisies. He almost always acts on instinct, which typically means he can be seen as impulsive and may not think his actions through, especially in situations during or leading up to combat.

Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Athrun Zala prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Athrun Zala rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Athrun Zala is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Athrun Zala's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
