While Deus Tarsus will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward his best effort, it’s still just a job. Deus Tarsus's true loyalties lie to his friends, and through thick and thin,he will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Deus Tarsus's trust, putting him at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust his motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Deus Tarsus, though, because loyalty to his friends is not something credits can buy.

Deus Tarsus can be very protective, and when any of his friends are being bullied or threatened, he will step in to defend them. This can gets Deus Tarsus in trouble when he refuses to back down during these exchanges, and sometimes has trouble discerning between friendly teasing and intentional insults. However, because of this fierce loyalty, his friends know that no matter what, Deus Tarsus will be there for them.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Deus Tarsus's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Despite his line of work, Deus Tarsus still sees himself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those he does not know. Deus Tarsus only lets the mask slip to show his more laid back nature to those he trusts. To those he dislikes, he will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what he might be offending.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Deus Tarsus has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Deus Tarsus then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Deus Tarsus has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Even the most gifted of weapon masters understands the importance of physical fitness and disciplining the body with through martial arts training. Deus Tarsus has trained vigorously in unarmed combat by fusing Teräs Käsi and Echani with other unconventional forms. While this martial focus helps bolster his prowess in close-quarters combat, Deus Tarsus is still limited in scope when facing down a less direct or ranged threat.
