One of the greatest ironies of Sato Tarentae’s life is that, despite his disregard for appearances, he is strikingly handsome. Standing 1.85 meters tall with a wiry 68 kg frame, he has an angular, square-jawed face with high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, and full lips set in a perpetual slight frown. His left eye is a deep mud brown, while his right is missing, concealed beneath an eyepatch. A constant shadow of stubble dusts his chin, adding to his rugged appearance. His long jet-black hair, streaked with silver, flows past his shoulders, with two loose tribal braids framing his pale, flawless face.
Sato Tarentae's life is filled with training and learning for all sorts of situations, from the mind-numbingly normal to the utterly bizarre. As such, Sato Tarentae has developed into a rather resourceful individual. This has made Sato Tarentae a mix of academic and scholar, always with something to offer to any discussion. However, knowledge and training does not always translate well to the tense environment of the battlefield, and no amount of textbooks can prepare one for reality...
Sato Tarentae sees himself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Sato Tarentae keeps his wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to him being considered anti-social and when he does join others, instead of relaxing he prefers to keep quiet and observe.
Sato Tarentae has a tendency to get addicted to things, even if those things aren't addictive.
Sato Tarentae is mesmerized by anything shiny and can easily spot shiny objects from a distance. This makes him good at finding things of importance or value, but he may also be distracted by pretty baubles.
When it comes to a fight, some like to posture, some like to act tough, some like to dance around and go through all sorts of fancy footwork. Sato Tarentae? Sato Tarentae doesn't bother with exotic battle stances, intricate maneuvers, or super-secret tactics. Sato Tarentae, when cornered into a fight, prefers the ancient technique of a good kick to the nuts. And if that won't work, either because the enemy is a woman or has balls of steel, Sato Tarentae isn't beyond pulling a few more cheap tricks out of the bag. Granted, Sato Tarentae won't be winning any medals for nobility or any prestige for a unique fighting style or a superb maneuver, but Sato Tarentae will still be winning, the best and most dirty way he knows how.
Sato Tarentae vastly prefers ranged combat, taking every opportunity to use skills and Force Powers to disengage from melee and instead fight at range, so much so that he has become competent at staying out of melee in the first place.
