Yan'isa N'en's life is filled with training and learning for all sorts of situations, from the mind-numbingly normal to the utterly bizarre. As such, Yan'isa N'en has developed into a rather resourceful individual. This has made Yan'isa N'en a mix of academic and scholar, always with something to offer to any discussion. However, knowledge and training does not always translate well to the tense environment of the battlefield, and no amount of textbooks can prepare one for reality...

Killing has never been a problem for Yan'isa N'en; and she kind of enjoys it now, if she is honest. Killing's what Yan'isa N'en does, and she likes what she does.

Yan'isa N'en doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement she makes—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Yan'isa N'en two steps ahead of her peers. However, when plans go awry, Yan'isa N'en often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be the line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.

Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. Yan'isa N'en takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario she might expect to encounter. Yan'isa N'en tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and she often finds herself at a loss in situations that go beyond what she could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, her perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.

While Yan'isa N'en avoids combat whenever possible, she has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Yan'isa N'en has trained herself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Yan'isa N'en almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.
