Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Violet Cuscuta creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Violet Cuscuta creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

Order begets injustice. Freedom begets chaos. All things are paradoxically kept even by a system of checks and balances. Neither good nor evil are forces apart from nature itself, that can be segregated or subdued, nor do the actions of those who claim to act for light or for dark always or exclusively affect all things for good or bad. Violet views both sides of the force as hypocritical and the failure of their goals as ultimately hopeless dreams of the short-sighted. She does not align herself with any doctrine, but rather believes power lies in manipulating the natural balance of the world for ultimate long-term success, though it inevitably isolates her from the vast majority who choose a side.

Violet views everyone with suspicion, being no stranger to betrayal. She can often take a mild joke more serious than intended, and is slow to forgive, if at all. She is, however, hard to take by surprise, even at the cost of close friendship.

Violet Cuscuta has a tendency to be secretive and keeps to herself, relying on deception to conceal her motives and intentions. She is a schemer, and plots and plans against others carefully. When dealing with a confrontation, she will try and bluff her way out of trouble, or overcome obstacles with deliberate, covert actions.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Violet Cuscuta has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows her the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Violet Cuscuta then uses her own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Violet Cuscuta has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Violet prefers to use an enemy's strength against themselves, to take advantage of their greatest weakness, whether by manipulating them to reveal things about themselves, tricking them into hurting themselves or trapping them in a corner. Using misdirection and deceit, she will attempt to cripple or harm a person before ever meeting face-to-face, where she is usually the weaker opponent.
