Despite being born into a warrior family and raised in an environment of strict discipline and focus, Manji has never felt comfortable with quiet contemplation. He can project silence and intimidation when necessary, but the displeasure he felt with his rigid upbringing manifests itself in a tendency to use sarcasm and insults in an attempt to try and throw his opponents off guard. Sometimes this goes too far- if faced with the stoic calm of a master Jedi, for example, Manji often becomes infuriated and loses his temper.

A lot of things have come easily to Manji; he was born into a wealthy family and grew up sheltered by his parents and the strict caste system of his Kyataran homeworld. This manifests itself in an inbuilt sense of superiority; he considers himself to be inherently better than many others, and will show contempt to those he considers beneath him unless they can prove their worth. The only people exempt from this are those he considers family (the rest of the Keibatsu and certain close friends) and other members of his Clan, who he will fight for and protect to the limit of his strength. This often leads to Manji putting himself in danger to aid those close to him, and shunning or refusing aid to those he considers unimportant.

Having drawn on the Dark Side for so many years, Manji has developed a kind of schizophrenia which is shared amongst his Keibatsu brethren- his personality can shift dramatically, going from cheerful, outgoing and friendly to cold and murderous in the blink of an eye. This often makes him somewhat unbalanced and unreliable in planning or diplomatic situations.

As one of the most celebrated combatants of the Antei Combat Center, renowned for his victories over some of the hardiest warriors in the Brotherhood, Manji has fought a lot of people. He has no fear of death, and will take reckless actions without a second thought if he sees a way to defeat his foe, risking his own life in the process.

Manji doesn't go in for subtlety in the same way that many of his Krath brethren do. His approach to most things is simple, direct and to the point- charge at the problem and cut it into as many pieces as possible. He wields his twin sabers with a dextrous fury borne of decades of pent-up rage and emotion, weaving a path of destruction across any battlefield. Years of his life have been spent studying the ways of martial combat, primarily with a blade; this training, first developed when he was a young man on Kyataru and later honed with the aid of the finest lightsaber combatants in the Brotherhood, means that he will always scorn the use of long-range weapons.

Due to his upbringing, Manji will always rely on his martial prowess first and foremost. However, he has risen through the ranks of the Brotherhood due to his willingness to support that prowess with the dark energies of the Force. Abstaining from complex rituals and sorcery, Manji uses the Force like another weapon- to bludgeon, distract and confuse his foes, and to deflect attacks and heal any wounds he might accrue. This martial application of the Force comes with a downside- Manji is less adept in the more subtle uses of the Dark Side (although not completely untrained), viewing them as 'parlour tricks' unbefitting of a warrior.
