Despite whatever all his other characteristics may convey, Serata retains the air of a person that is confident, if not arrogant. Minor (and often, major) things in his body language - his walk, his stance, his expressions - reveal these feelings. At times, it seems he borders upon narcissism, especially judging from how much he enjoys his own company.

Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Serata creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Serata creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Serata's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Serata is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Serata to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Serata can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.

Serata is utterly devoted to success in combat, no matter the mission, no matter the cost. He has spent his life building himself in the image of war, utilizing a dogmatic regimen that has lead him to a single-minded obsession with military success and requires intense physical and mental training. This training, however, has come at the cost of anything resembling empathy or concern for others - even his superiors and subordinates.

Serata possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Serata does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let him survive.
