This short, athletically-built creature is a Sullustan, with pink skin, big mouse-like eyes, jowls, scarns, and large, rounded ears; but it's hard to tell from his bizarre manner of dress. At all times, Alishu wears a heavy, hooded robe that obscures most of his features, the rest covered by a set of black face wraps, foot wrappings, gloves, and a body suit; but most distinct of these items is a pair of protective goggles with glowing orange-yellow lenses.
Alishu is always moving and can't seem to stay still. He paces incessantly, to the point of annoying those around him, hardly sitting for anything; when in groups, he often finds himself alone and ahead of everyone else; and when in motion, his movements are almost cat-like, always choosing the shortest distance between two points, even if it means spinning around or leaping over an obstacle (such as an opponent's weapon!), or almost rubbing up against a wall as he cuts a hallway corner. A lifetime of these strange habits have made Alishu very graceful in his movements, in and out of combat, flowing from one step to the next.
Alishu is a known member of at least two secret societies, the Inquisitorius and the Shadow Academy Society, but he is possibly a member of one, two, or many more, some of which could be totally outside the Brotherhood. While this grants him access to knowledge and resources that he would otherwise have no access to, it comes with the reputation of being a spy and assassin, causing others to look at him very suspiciously. Not to mention that he might even find himself or the people close to him the target of espionage or other attacks.
"Separate from desire", this ancient Sith philosophy dictates that the adherent will find greater success when their actions align with their 'needs' and not just their 'wants'. Alishu has taken this philosophy to its logical extreme, and will not do anything without first procuring a reason as to why he needs to do it. If he does find a reason, he'll do that thing with all of his heart, body and mind. And if he doesn't find a reason, he simply won't do it at all, often to the detriment of himself, and the chagrin of others.
Alishu's real name is An, which means "silent". Although this name was given with the intention of reflecting his later career as an assassin, which he was trained from birth for, it much more reflects his personality, which is quiet and soft-spoken. As might be expected from Alishu, he only speaks when he deems it necessary to do so, but when he does speak, it's with authority, and loud enough to reach everyone who he wants to hear. However, due to the usual silence and his hooded appearance, Alishu can come across as eerily quiet, and even creepy.
"Combat Mastery", is the Obelisk ideal, and those that adhere to this strive for excellence in hand-to-hand and lightsaber combat as a form of personal perfection. Like so many Obelisk before him, Alishu has chosen to spend his life pursuing this ideal. While this does mean that Alishu is very talented when it comes to fighting, it only extends to weapons that can be used in 'melee' range (his own fists, swords, quarterstaves, lightsabers, etc.), and he won't use a ranged weapon or even try to attack with the Force at range.
With a hidden face and neutral body language, it's hard to tell what Alishu is going to do at any given moment. While this doesn't usually affect his daily life, it has a deadly effect in combat, making some of his attacks seem to come 'blindingly' fast, or at least faster than one would expect, and this is because none of the subtle cues that are made before an attack are there. This neutrality, however, exists only on the surface, and it only takes a few, pointed prods to make Alishu incredibly distressed.
