Liam Torun is a tall man with a broad-shouldered, burly build. His hair, beard, and bushy eyebrows are all white, the hair long enough to reach his back and the beard spilling down his chest. His face is wrinkled from age, and his once-keen brown eyes show thick cataracts, rendering him blind. His voice has a slight creak to it, and his build isn't quite as muscular as it once was, but he is still imposing in his bulk. He wears the robes of a Jedi Nomad, common garb for an Odanite Jedi.
Liam Torun is an elderly fellow who has lived alone for years, in simple conditions. He's hospitable to others and welcoming to any who pass through his door, but has little to no experience with the galaxy's finer matters. Though he is wise and intelligent, and knows to look out for deception, he himself is known for being kind, simple, and friendly to all those around him. He is exactly what it says on the tin - a kindly old hermit.
Liam Torun-Urr has been a Jedi since infancy, and unlike many of the old Order never had a chance to assimilate with society or enter political circles. The Jedi Code has thus formed the backbone of his attitudes, preferences, and tastes; he'll eagerly leap into the fray to do the right thing and protect innocents, but he'll just as eagerly sit in a cave and meditate for days. He'll use any asset, equipment, or gear he needs to aid the will of the Force, but he's happy owning just a pair of boots and a set of robes. He'll keep himself clean and follow a disciplined lifestyle, but will just as soon become filthy to seem like a vagrant. He doesn't yearn for adventure, excitement, or companionship; he has no taste for possessions, luxuries, or consumables. A Jedi craves not these things.
Liam Torun is in his twilight years, and he knows it. Unlike some, though, it has brought him a sense of peace in troubled times. He knows that he could die in battle today, or in his bed tonight, or at any time after. He has lived a long life, and has served his ideals well, so he is not afraid to face down death one more time. If anything, he looks forward to choosing the manner of his passing, and to going out with a bang.
Liam Torun-Urr has lost his eyes, but not his mind. Meditative and serene, he has taken to his role as a Councillor and works to bestow the lessons of the Force, the Jedi Order, and the lightsaber upon Younglings and Padawans. Still possessed of his knowing, grandfatherly grin, he will often subtly guide those around him, sometimes imparting subtle knowledge and at others quietly unearthing inner hurdles they must face to improve. Like the Masters of old, he exists now to serve the will of the Force - and to teach its whispered secrets to the next generation.
Liam Torun is a determined fighter, but he's also a proponent of peace. He'll fight his enemy with the goal of a stalemate or settlement in mind, weakening their defenses and crippling their counterattack abilities. Always a believer in the power of negotiation, he'll hamstring an enemy, only to help him back up and welcome him into the fold. For him, the greatest victory is the one where you didn't have to fire a single shot.
Liam Torun-Urr, since being blinded, relies upon his other senses and on the Force. Where once he was a man of nimble climbing and ferocious battle, now he prefers to withdraw from the fight, or to provide his allies aid in the form of counsel or Battle Meditation. He will often use Mind Tricks to sway his foes, or hide using the Force to avoid their notice entirely. However, even a Jedi cannot avoid battle forever, and when pressed he will fight back using the Force - his last remaining, and most powerful, offensive weapon.
