Gug Yolthian is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

Gug Yolthian grew up never knowing his family. He was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to his age, Gug Yolthian bounced from owner to owner until he became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in his life, Gug Yolthian has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, he will most likely lash out in some way, regardless of it compromises his objective.

Gug Yolthian doesn't like to work in groups or teams and feels most comfortable on his own. Gug Yolthian sticks to himself, sets his own pace, and doesn't share feelings or emotions with others. While the Lone Wolf can get things done quietly and efficiently, he tends to be emotionally cut off and has problems relating to his comrades.

People tend to reverently follow Gug Yolthian’s lead and look up to him in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that Gug Yolthian genuinely believes what he does. This is all a clever facade, however, as Gug Yolthian is not always as upstanding and respectable as his followers believe. He is no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering his own machinations.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Gug Yolthian has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Gug Yolthian then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Gug Yolthian has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Gug Yolthian will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.
