Straight-laced and buttoned-up are often words used to describe the physical appearance of Mears Hiorte. The blonde human keeps his hair tightly shaved to strict military regulations and is rarely seen with even a hint of stubble on his days off. Light blue eyes with flashes of gold flake highlight his most memorable facial feature with a noticeable scar under his right eye. His build is athletic but not overly muscular with a slightly disproportional length in his torso to the length of his legs.
Mears Hiorte has not created any public loadouts yet.
Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Mears Hiorte creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Mears Hiorte creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.
Mears Hiorte possesses a cold and completely uncaring demeanour. This will manifest itself in the fact that when push comes to shove,Mears Hiorte will just as soon leave a struggling ally behind rather than put themselves in danger. While this may ensure his survival, it often leaves him as an outcast amongst his peers.
All who gain power are afraid to lose it, and Mears Hiorte is no exception. Some use their power for good, some for evil; Mears Hiorte, however, knows that these are just points of view. He is on a quest for greater power, and uses all his skills and abilities to ensure his supremacy, regardless of the consequences.
People tend to reverently follow Mears Hiorte’s lead and look up to him in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that Mears Hiorte genuinely believes what he does. This is all a clever facade, however, as Mears Hiorte is not always as upstanding and respectable as his followers believe. He is no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering his own machinations.
Mears Hiorte is utterly devoted to success in combat, no matter the mission, no matter the cost. He has spent his life building himself in the image of war, utilizing a dogmatic regimen that has lead him to a single-minded obsession with military success and requires intense physical and mental training. This training, however, has come at the cost of anything resembling empathy or concern for others - even his superiors and subordinates.
Mears Hiorte seems to get his thrills, perhaps sadistic ones at that, from toying with his opponents. Some are content with simply striking down or injuring their opponent, but that is not enough for Mears Hiorte. No, he wishes to see his enemy descend into madness or kneel before him as a blathering mess; or even better, as a fresh new servant with a muddled mind. The Puppeteer usually forsakes outright hurting and maiming his opponent and focuses on illusions, mind tricks, and other wicked means of destroying a person.
