Xan Phraz-Etar can be very protective, and when any of his friends are being bullied or threatened, he will step in to defend them. This can gets Xan Phraz-Etar in trouble when he refuses to back down during these exchanges, and sometimes has trouble discerning between friendly teasing and intentional insults. However, because of this fierce loyalty, his friends know that no matter what, Xan Phraz-Etar will be there for them.

Xan Phraz-Etar has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Xan Phraz-Etar's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Killing has never been a problem for Xan Phraz-Etar; and he kind of enjoys it now, if he is honest. Killing's what Xan Phraz-Etar does, and he likes what he does.

Xan Phraz-Etar possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Xan Phraz-Etar does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let him survive.

Where most err on the side of caution in a confrontation, Xan Phraz-Etar prefers to charge in head-first. While others may skirt a battlefield or keep their careful distance, Xan Phraz-Etar rushes in with devastating attacks with seemingly no regard for safety, relying upon instinct and possibly armor to protect him from dismemberment and death during his all-out attacks. Xan Phraz-Etar is a force to be feared on the battlefield, leaving a trail of death and destruction. However, Xan Phraz-Etar's blood-hungry ways put him in far more danger than the normal combatant, often resulting in needless injury and suffering, trading safety for pure offensive ability.
