Zed has an athletic muscular build. His body has scars all over from his time as an underground pit fighter. Various weapons and claws have left their mark on Zed in different patterns. He keeps his brown hair to a short buzz cut and wears a short stubbly beard. His eyes are brown with fair skin. The bridge of Zed's nose is more pronounced from being broken multiple times. Zed has a round head and a full set of teeth, but some are implants. The others got knocked out during the numerous battles.
Dredgen Zed does not charge a high price because he has to pay for a life of luxury; he charges a high price because he knows that he is the best in the game and worth the credits. Those who do not know Dredgen Zed will feel he is gouging them, but those who have seen him in action know that he always delivers. This bravado follows Dredgen Zed around and builds on the success of completed jobs and can be off-putting to other Mercenaries that will try and lash back by pointing out his failures.
Dredgen Zed has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.
While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Dredgen Zed's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.
Dredgen Zed doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement he makes—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Dredgen Zed two steps ahead of his peers. However, when plans go awry, Dredgen Zed often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.
If Dredgen Zed had been in Greedo’s shoes, Han Solo would be pushing up daisies. He almost always acts on instinct, which typically means he can be seen as impulsive and may not think his actions through, especially in situations during or leading up to combat.
Without the gift of the Force, Dredgen Zed has trained rigorously with a wide range of melee weaponry and technology to better handle opponents that are able to harness the mythical power. Dredgen Zed has been conditioned to fight against foes that are Force-sensitive and are able to compensate against fighting an adversary wielding something as deadly as a lightsaber. While this adaptive combat training makes him lethal in close quarters combat against any kind of threat, they are still at the mercy of a long ranged fighter, assailant or Force user that prefers to attack the mind instead of the body.
