Gwendolyn "Sparks" has a sick sense of humor, viewing the world through dark colored glass. She has a biting sense of black humor, often laughing at things that most people would find reprehensible or down right soul crushing. As a result, those that are not used to her brand of humor often find Gwendolyn "Sparks" downright unbearable or overly morbid. At the same time, her cynicism can be useful for seeing through the optimistic altruism of those she encounters.

Gwendolyn "Sparks" doesn't care much for her species, and long dropped her Twi'lek name for something she felt would earn her more respect and recognition among Humans. In the end, it didn't really matter, as the members of the Collective gave her their own nicknames that she simply adopted. Other than her obviously alien appearance, however, Gwendolyn "Sparks" does not enjoy being called a Twi'lek, and can get easily flustered by the stereotypes often associated with them.

Gwendolyn "Sparks" has a tendency to get addicted to things, even if those things aren't addictive.

Gwendolyn has earned the nickname "Sparks" among the ranks of the Technocratic Guild for not just her talent with Explosives, but for the jubilation she expresses watching the sparks of her deeds. Gwendolyn "Sparks" is almost always tinkering or trying to invent a new, deadly way to blow something up. This narrowed focus and the glee she seems to derive from the act has also lead members of the Collective to refer to her as the "Mad Bomber". Personally, Gwen doesn't particularly pay attention to these names. Her sole focus is on not just building the perfect bomb, but finding the perfect way to utilize it. This tunnel focus has made it nearly impossible for her to maintain interpersonal relationships, and many are simply afraid to approach her or disrupt her work for fear of getting caught in a rogue detonation of some kind.

Gwendolyn "Sparks" works hard to maintain an image of fierce tenacity despite being of a smaller stature. To that extent, Gwendolyn "Sparks" has learned to not take jabs about her stature offensively, but to instead burn them quietly as fuel for her inner spirit. The flame that is sparked as a result is controlled by Gwendolyn "Sparks"'s discipline of never overestimating her own abilities or those of her opponents. She has trained to fully utilize her size as an advantage when fighting larger opponents. She knows exactly how to leverage her weight to deliver the most effective take downs or maneuvers. The effort to maintain this image can be draining at times, and when outmatched or overwhelmed, Gwendolyn "Sparks" becomes susceptible to a loss of spirit.

Gwendolyn "Sparks" takes immense pride in her ability to creatively use explosives to cause the most amount of destruction and devastation. She gets an almost euphoric rush out of setting off a detonation, and will often feel a need to gloat or revel in her accomplishment. This belief is so strong that something as mundane as riddling an enemy with blaster holes will simply not do. As a result, Gwendolyn "Sparks" will often forgo a practical or pragmatic approach to killing her target, opting instead for a more long and elaborate scheme that would lead to a much more rewarding, beautiful death...by way of some kind of explosion, of course.
