While Kyohei Katsuhide will see a job through to its conclusion and put forward his best effort, it’s still just a job. Kyohei Katsuhide's true loyalties lie to his friends, and through thick and thin,he will stand by them and die for them if needed. This loyalty is reserved for those who have earned Kyohei Katsuhide's trust, putting him at odds with other Mercenaries that are only doing a job for the money. This also makes it harder for employers to trust his motives, often times creating extra competition and difficulty finding work. None of it matters to Kyohei Katsuhide, though, because loyalty to his friends is not something credits can buy.

Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Kyohei Katsuhide creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Kyohei Katsuhide creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

Kyohei Katsuhide has a military background, and draws upon his experience to tackle the obstacles in his life. This makes him decisive, efficient, and fearless; provides him with a strong sense of duty and strength; which tends to influence his ability to fight and lead. However, a rigid mind is less compassionate towards individuals and less imaginative, and Kyohei Katsuhide sometimes risks appearing callous, relatable, or incapable of compromising.

Kyohei Katsuhide is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

Sometimes the only way to prepare for the worst is to always expect it. Kyohei Katsuhide takes this philosophy one step further by never leaving home without accounting for every possible scenario he might expect to encounter. Kyohei Katsuhide tends to always have the right tool or item for a situation and has a habit of quietly and almost smugly presenting solutions before anyone even recognizes there is a problem. This foresight is far from infallible, however, and he often finds himself at a loss in situations that go beyond what he could have imagined. While incredibly practical and often a life-saver in a pinch, his perpetually pessimistic outlook on daily life can be a bit draining on more optimistic-inclined companions.

Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.
