As such, Maximus Alvinius has developed into a rather resourceful individual. This has made Maximus Alvinius a mix of academic and scholar, always with something to offer to any discussion. However, knowledge and training does not always translate well to the tense environment of the battlefield, and no amount of textbooks can prepare one for reality...

Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Maximus Alvinius creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Maximus Alvinius creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

Maximus Alvinius is devoutly loyal to his House or Clan and will follow orders unquestionably. He would sacrifice his own life to protect his House or Clan from harm. This attitude, however, often clouds his ability to see things from an arbitrary or objective point of view and he can come off as extremely narrow-minded.

Maximus Alvinius tells it like he sees it, when he thinks it; and he doesn't try to sugar coat what he says.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Maximus Alvinius has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows him the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Maximus Alvinius then uses his own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Maximus Alvinius has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Maximus Alvinius will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.
