Hilgrif view droids as true life so he will treat droids with more compassion and understanding then most people would, but do to this believe he see life as nothing special so he treats life same way most people would treat a droid so he show no special privilege for life he would save a droid over a life any day

there is no one person goal above the hive's goal so Hilgrif will always put the Hive goals over his own the hive training over his own training for he is part of the hive. He will seek to grow his hive at the cost of his own equipment he will save the hive before any of his only allies

Hilgrif is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Hilgrif to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Hilgrif can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.

He views the beauty of the worlds can only be seen for what it is through technology. The wonders of nature spark no interest or feeling any longer; on the other hands well-constructed circuitry and well-kept electronics stir him deeply.

Hilgrif's passion for technology extends beyond his talent with Slicing. He truly believes that wars can be won with technology, not soldiers, and will always try to avoid direct combat if he can afford it. Instead, he prefers to deploy clever traps with Explosives, or turn technology against others as a weapon. Hilgrif would rather overload a circuit breaker to shock a guard into submission than to test his luck with his hands or a blaster. If removed from technology or his gadgets, however, Hilgrif can easily be overwhelmed. Fortunately, he has no qualms with throwing a smoke grenade down and running for dear life.

While Hilgrif avoids combat whenever possible, he has no qualms working with technology under the stress and pressure of combat. Hilgrif has trained himself to keep calm and focus intently on Slicing even while taking blaster fire from cover or when placed under time constraints. In truth, Hilgrif almost works better when under duress, and actually needs motivation, typically, when Slicing.
