The Hi’ija Residence
[Planet Redacted]
Early Morning of a day in June
“I will be in the basement if you need me.”
Heading out of the bedroom, the man of the house headed through the hallway and down the stairs. Rhiann was just getting out of bed at the time, sitting at the side of the mattress and stretching her arms over her head. Every day was rather typical. Mirus went downstairs to open up shop and then down to the forge. Their lone employee watched the shop and tried his best to talk people into commissioning Mirus or buying from their already present stock. In the meantime, Rhiann took her time getting herself ready for the day, only to sit down in a plush chair in her office working on coding, programs and bug fixes in the scripts she wrote for the highest bidders.
The Sephi really didn’t mind the quiet days away from all the people she used to have to be around in Arcona or Odan-Urr, but there was days she did miss the forced social interaction. She made a mental note while getting out of the shower to send a holocall to Turel later that evening after Mirus had closed shop so the three of them could do a little catching up.
Taking a moment, the pale pink skinned woman looked herself over in the body sized mirror, a slight sigh coming from her mouth. There was always something she was unhappy with about her body, but the growing sad frown on her face showed that it was something more than what the mirror showed. Shrugging it off, the woman dressed herself in something simple and comfortable and headed to her office, shutting the door behind her after the cat had let himself in.
With the cat settling onto his silk pillow on a corner of Rhiann’s desk, the woman sat down in her chair and reached to turn the system on. Sitting back, she adjusted herself to get comfortable, only to raise an eyebrow at the holoscreens not popping up like they should be. Leaning forward once more, Rhiann went to hold down the button that would turn the system on-- but it still didn’t work. Growling in annoyance to herself, her finger went to smash the power button in anger just as her cat went to rub at Rhi’s arm. The moment that her finger made contact with the button, a jolt of strange power travelled through her body and everything went black.

Eversong Woods
Quel’Thalas
Sometime around noon
The woman’s eyes suddenly snapped open. Hovering above her looked to be a large cat like creature with glowing eyes and orange fur that was pawing at her stomach. Rhiann could feel the weight of the paw, her hand lifting to swiftly swat the cat’s paw away.
It took her a moment to process what was going on, suddenly sitting up to look at the surrounding area and backing away from the large cat-- holding her hand out to utilize the force… only to notice that there looked to be some strange primitive weapon in her hand and that there was no presence of the Force anywhere around her. The sudden strange feeling left Rhiann in a cold sweat, trying to reach out to the Force once more to try and contact Mirus. With nothing there, the woman’s breathing turned shallow as she tried not to let herself succumb to the sudden fear she was experiencing.
Approaching her, the large orange cat went to rub up against Rhiann much like her pet cat would, knocking the woman over back onto the ground. It was then that the woman noticed her pink skin was gone and replaced with what looked to be a shade more Human. Her expensive clothing was gone as well, replaced by shoddy and worn looking clothing that barely covered the majority of her body. Hugging herself to cover her skin, Rhi finally took a moment to look at her surroundings.
Grass, autumn coloured leaves, strange round buildings with no doors, strange creatures everywhere… she had no clue where she was. There was other people around, Rhiann staring at one of them as they approached her. They looked so… ugly.
“Get up. You’re late for your training,” the odd looking woman said, raising an eyebrow at Rhiann as Rhi continued to stare.
Rhi’s hands slowly reached up to the sides of her head. Her hair was still there-- that’s good. Though she had no clue what it looked like now. She continued to reach upward, feeling at her ears. The foreign Humanoid hovering over Rhiann watched as she did this, the look on Rhi’s face turning to confusion and fear as she felt up her ears. They were wrong-- all wrong.
She suddenly jolted up, running to the closest building and trying to find some sort of mirror. As much as she didn’t want to know… curiosity always killed the cat. Upon finding a mirror, the woman stared at it for a few minutes before her hands travelled all over her face to make sure this actually wasn’t a dream.
The woman that had approached her earlier finally made it into the building as well, approaching Rhiann with an annoyed frown.
“Hero, you need to train yourself!” She demanded, suddenly holding her hands up in front of her in defense as Rhi jolted over.
“Where -am- I?!” Rhiann suddenly blurted out, “Why is my skin this colour, what happened to my hair?!”
The Humanoid was about to respond, but Rhiann continued on.
“These ears are much too long! These glowing eyes are unnatural and--” She took a breath before grabbing her eyebrows, “These eyebrows are HIDEOUS!”
The native to the lands that had approached Rhiann suddenly started to back away slowly. Rhiann stared in disbelief as she tugged at her own eyebrows while breathing through her teeth. To the woman backing away, Rhi looked like she was going insane and something was very wrong with her. She had to do something about this before it got even more out of hand. For all she knew, this crazy person was some sort of spy or was affected by evil magics. It had to be taken care of.
“HEY! Where are you going?!” Rhiann said in a demanding tone as the other woman suddenly turned and ran, Rhiann suddenly running after her, the large cat following along behind its master.
The chase went on for a short period of time along one of the more beaten paths of the area, the two figures approaching what looked to be more like a town. There was tall castle like buildings and it looked to be much more populated. Along the way, Rhiann noticed more strange creatures and other Humanoid like races. They didn’t weird her out too much as she was used to such things, but at this point-- all she wanted to do was go home.
“Help!” She suddenly said, running to one of the guards at the town’s entrance, “This crazy woman is a spy or infected by evil magics! She’s acting erratic!”
Rhiann suddenly skid to a stop. A couple guards went to approach her. In her mind, Rhi associated getting caught by these strange armored people with never getting back to her own home… and that was bad. She already hated this place, so there was no way she was getting stuck here for good. Reaching behind her back, she took the primitive weapon and a projectile from the quiver on her back and knocked it onto the string. Shooting the arrow at the guard, she missed by a few feet, but the armored men took the attack poorly.
“Put the bow down and surrender,” The one man calmly tried to say.
Pulling back, Rhiann shot another arrow at the approaching guard, the armored man suddenly taking off into a run-- a much faster one than she expected. Turning on her heel, Rhi suddenly started running back to where she came from. If she was lucky, perhaps she could figure out a way to go back. The guard would continue to chase her back to the woods she came from, Rhiann trying to put more distance between them.
“I just want to go home!” She shouted out into the open world, turning her head to look at the armored man still chasing her.
She didn’t turn her head back in time to notice the steps she was about to run up, tripping on one of them and flying through the air only to make contact with this strange hovering crystal. The large cat lept to try and save Rhiann from her fate, but instead it too made contact with the crystal-- both of them feeling a strange shock through their bodies.
As her vision turned black, Rhiann could hear a man’s voice asking if she was okay, it slowly becoming a more recognizable voice…

The Hi’ija Residence
[Planet Redacted]
Late evening of a day in June
Rhiann was still seeing black as she wavered in and out of consciousness, the man’s voice still heard as her body was carefully picked up and supported, held carefully in a warm embrace. After what she had gone through, she was still terrified that she was in that strange world, but had no energy to try and fight against the man who was currently holding her up partially off the floor.
“Rhi. Rhi, are you okay?” The concerned voice asked, Rhiann starting to register that it was a voice she thought she recognized.
Still in survival mode, Rhiann started to weakly struggle out of his grip, all her energy gone from the large amount of running she was just doing in the strange world she couldn’t identify. A large, strong hand grasped one of her shoulders, hugging her closer to his own body to stop her from struggling and potentially hurting herself. After all, Mirus had no clue what had been going on.
He didn’t speak again, instead sitting on the floor quietly until his wife settled down and eventually opened her eyes. The first thing she did was lift her hand up, putting it on her forehead then running a few fingers over her eyebrows. Sighing in relief, her hand went back down to her lap.
“What are you…” Mirus tried to ask, adjusting the woman to make her more comfortable.
Glancing upward, Rhiann looked at the bright blue eyes of the man hovering over her in concern, at least looking more relaxed since she knew she was back in her own home at least. She continued to look at him, eventually asking him a question.
“... What colour are my eyes?” Rhiann asked Mirus, the man looking incredibly confused.
“What do you mean what colour are your eyes?” He asked in confusion, shifting to pick Rhiann up from the ground to carry her to their bed, “One is black and one is purple. As they have been the last year or so.”
Jolting out from the office, their cat suddenly ran to the bedroom and jumped up on the bed. He looked a lot fluffier than usual as if dealing with some sort of static electricity and started grooming his fur to be back to the way it was. Mirus wasn’t far behind as he set Rhiann down on the bed, making sure enough pillows were there to support her head.
Looking up at the man, Rhiann did one last thing to make sure that she really was home. Shutting her eyes, she reached out into the Force and tried to talk telepathically to the man sitting down on the bed at her side, her question causing a confused and concerned look to cross his face.
“I am home, yes? This is not just some sort of strange magic, is it?”
Mirus took a moment to respond, reaching to lightly caress her right cheek before responding to her the same way she spoke to him.
“Yes, of course you are. Just what is going on with you, Rhi?”
The urge to sleep suddenly overtook the woman, her body relaxing further-- enough to allow herself to sleep and be comfortable. She was still unconvinced that she was going to be completely safe, but unable to fight off the want to sleep, she would just have to find out tomorrow.
One of her hands went to reach up and lightly grasp the arm that had reached over to her face, the woman muttering one last thing before falling asleep.
“Do not touch the power button to my holocomputer in my office…” She muttered, sounding a bit delusional.
Her voice suddenly got authoritative, her nails lightly digging into his arm to show that she was being serious.
“Or else.”
