My ship...it was third-hand, one that I had found, abandoned, and taken for myself.
A nice one, too; a KR-TB "Doomtreader" star ship called Hell's Anvil that had once belonged Montross, a Mandalorian–turned–bounty hunter who had been a candidate for being the template the Republic's Clone Army. I'd found Montross's body (what was left of it) as well as his ship on Kohlma, a graveyard moon of the planet Bogden, where Montross had died.
The ship's log explained quite a bit to me on why it was there:
Seemed Montross and another bounty hunter named Jango Fett had both been selected to participate in a hunt to capture or kill the leader of something called the Bando Gora cult, Komari Vosa. Montross fought with Jango Fett on Kohlma and was defeated, before being torn to shreds by the Bando Gora. And well, the dead had no need for possessions...so I took Montross's ship.
Montross had gutted the interior, rearranging it to suit his tastes. The ship featured two aft-mounted Dyne 427 radial atomizer engines, not to mention two custom Keizar-Volvec KV4T8-i sublight engines on the tip of each wing. Montross also installed a Longe Voltrans tri-arc CD-3.2 hyperdrive, a double plated durasteel hull, and a multifaceted deflector shield array. Hell's Anvil was armed with solar ionization cannons, which evaded conventional deflector shields and melted durasteel.
Seeing as how he'd been a Bounty Hunter, Montross had removed most of the interior, and added prisoner cells, making use of the craft's large cargo hold. These holding cells were placed near the open hatch of the engine room, making the prisoners very sweaty and uncomfortable. Along with that, the craft's former owner had stripped the interior, removed the stations for the copilot and navigator, and installed a hydraulic pilot's seat that would allow him to access the ship's large computer array.
It had been my "mobile home" for a while now. This freighter produced by Corellian Engineering Corporation.
My ship...Just as Han Solo had the Millenium Falcon, I possessed Hell's Anvil, and it warmed my heart. It was ironic I had taken it, since Montross himself had killed the original owner of this KR-TB Doomtreader, who was wanted for a large bounty, then took the ship for himself...what goes around comes around, I guess. So that's why I say the Anvil is third-hand. I'm the third owner it's had.
The fates of it's owners before me might make anyone else nervous, but I'm not superstitious.
I love this ship. And that will never change.
