Prompt:
Now that you have created a Personality Matrix and translated it into a written description, you must next depict it in the context of a story. It is easy, as you write to fall for traditional pitfalls. As we envision a direction in which we wish to take a story, we often find ourselves tailoring our character's actions to the goal at hand. In turn, we wind up writing flavorless action instead of offering insight into what makes them tick, why they behave in a certain fashion.
By using your new personality matrix, you are better equipped to ensure that your character's behavior is tailored to him/her and not plot itself.
Your task is to write a short story that shines a spotlight one, or several, of your character's personality traits. It can be a common day in his life, a mission, a simple interaction... the importance is that their personality shines through your writing. Use what you have learned about your character as you created the Personality Matrix.
