"Well, the Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together." - Obi Wan Kenobi, teaching Luke Skywalker about the Force.
Imagine what it would be like to teach another how to touch the Force. In the case of the Jedi, Sith, and other traditions, knowledge of the Force has been passed down for thousands of years - mostly through teachers. Certain individuals are born with a strong connection to the Force. What they require to tap into that connection is somebody who can show them how.
Compose a haiku describing what it is like to help another develop their ability to feel the Force. Is it joyful? Harrowing? Frustrating? Solemn? Try to put yourself in the shoes of a teacher, and through a standard haiku format, tell your story.
Entries will be graded according to this rubric: 50% creativity, 25% poetic structure, 25% spelling and grammar. Submissions should be in some kind of word processor format (no links, files must be submitted or typed in the text box), and written in the style of a haiku.
Low participation will result in extension of the entry deadline.
