Objective: The Cocytus system is no more. While the images of the burning system still sizzle in your mind, you also know the IMS Tipoca II can never serve as a long term solution to housing the clan and surviving citizens of the Empire. To this end you have been named one of the clan’s Pathfinders. Tasked with finding a new system, and place to call home.

The galaxy is big, and there are millions of registered systems left to be claimed. These worlds are full of the unknown: Civilizations, Flora, Fauna. Write a story about your venture into the unknown and unexplored.

Scoring: Minimum 1000 words. Grading will be based off of the fiction grading rubric and adherence to the given prompt. Must be submitted as an attached file (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt). Shared GDocs will not be accepted, so if that is where you are writing it, when finished go to File>Download as and choose a file format. PDF is strongly prefered.
