Specifics

Challenge Fic for October. The challenge is to write a short fiction piece (no more than 500 words) that revolves around one of the topics at http://www.skippyslist.com/skippylist.html

Example is as follows:

"Did you get it?" The eagerness threatened to bubble over into full blown excitement in the tone of Mach's voice.

"Yeah," his co-conspirator, Vardar, replied, "this will be great."

"Remember, once he starts the debriefing, and hands over the floor to you, whip it out and point it at his face," Mach's voice rose with excitement.

"Yeah, Oberst will never see it coming!" Vardar fondled the shiney, silver object in his palm in excitement.

So wrapped up were the two junior members of Clan Tarentum that they did not notice the large figure looming over them, until he spoke, "I won't see what coming?"

Both young men yelped and jumped up in excitement, seeing the stern face of the man they had been conspriring about, they turned tail and ran, dropping the silver crucifix on the ground. Oberst picked up the crucifix, a twisted grin forming on his face. /I think I know just what to do with this, too/, he thought to himself as he walked on towards the War Room.

#94 Crucifixes do not ward off officers, and I should not test that.

Platform

Some sort of Wordprocessing software, unless you can fedex me clay tablets, parchment, scrolls, papyrus, etc etc.
