Competition: [Hoth] SoS: Reconnaissance

Finished
[Hoth] SoS: Reconnaissance

You are finally being sent out on your first solo mission in a long time and as you prepare your gear to head out into the field, you must choose one of these two assignments to complete this mission:

  • You were ordered to go to the continent of Jechary, and investigate rumors that the supposedly abandoned mine there is in fact truly abandoned. The Solyiat Air Patrol have indicated a higher level of traffic heading to the continent in recent weeks. Although this is the time of year for speed enthusiasts to head out to the salt flats for some fun, and it’s entirely possible that it is just a higher number of tourists than usual, we prefer to be on the safe side.
  • Dove has indicated some coordinates within the system’s asteroid belt that she claims hides something dangerous. Her fears of a outside mercenary force may just be that, but it wouldn’t hurt for you to go take a look and see what is there. With the Vatali fleet and the dangerous asteroid field, it’s highly unlikely there is a large ship or fleet within the system, but then again it’s your job to find out.

If you have an Alternate character with an approved CS and loadout, then you will be able to use them in your fiction. Same deal for NPCs.

Make sure you review the Wiki Pages of Solyiat and the Kiast System before submitting your entry.

Write a Fiction of at least 500 words (with no maximum word count).

Submissions must be in .DOC or .PDF file formats, no gdoc links will be accepted. Sending a link will be grounds for a DQ.

The Voice Rubric will be used to grade the entries and Clusters of Ice will be awarded as per the Voice’s Guidelines.
