Prompt - At the core of every person is a cliché. Creating a character that does not meet even a single standard trope is nigh on impossible, thus the saying “every story has been told a thousand times before.” So has every character. A completely 100% unique character does not happen, and that should never be your end goal. Rather, look at the clichés that make up those people around you.
Start with a cliché and build upon it. A cliché is not what the character is, ultimately, but it is a starting point to build a realistic and well rounded character. An example is as follows: “She’s a middle-aged woman struggling to balance her work and her family, and she has issues with her mother.” … It does not get much simpler than that. You are tasked thus with developing a cliché at the core of your own character, though, with a bit more substance than the provided example.
