Welcome to the Inaugural Season of the Brotherhood Gaming League: Hearthstone!

This round will consist of a Group Stage and a Knock-Out Stage. In the group phase, all members who sign up will be placed into groups (size and number dependent on sign-ups) selected at random. Groups will have a minimum of 4 members each. The group stage will last three weeks in length. Each member will play every other member in their group once and it will be organized by schedule.

All matches MUST use Standard Decks. Please note that the expected date for the launch of “The Witchwood” is expected to be April 12, 2018. That will start The Year of the Raven and send cards from the following expansions into Wild: Whispers of the Old Gods, One Night in Karazhan, and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, as well as Ice Block, Coldlight Seer, and Molten Giant. Given the expected launch date, any match SCHEDULED for within two weeks of the launch date of “The Witchwood” will consider The Year of the Mammoth as Standard.

This means that NO new cards will be allowed to be used for any match SCHEDULED for within two weeks of the launch date. If there is any confusion about this, please e-mail me or send me a TG message.

At the conclusion of the group stage the members who placed 1st or 2nd (and 3rd, if 20-31 sign up) in each group will advance to the bracket phase.

Ties will be broken by Head-to Head record between tied members and then by total time in wins. (Faster wins place higher).

In the Knock-Out Stage, the first round of the bracket will feature 1st place teams playing against a random 2nd place team from a different group (or 2nd place teams playing against a random 3rd place team from a different group with all 1st place teams receiving byes for the first round of the knock-out stage). The seeding of those match-ups will be randomized. The brackets will remain fixed up until the end of the bracket tournament.

The finals will consist of a best of three, in which each participant MUST use a different class for each game.

Note: If there are less than 16 participants, please refer to the rules for <15 participants located in the Grandparent competition.
