[Taldryan] Caelus Chronicles - The moon that never sleeps: The Imperial Sector

Officially known as "Sector 001", the Imperial Sector was the primary focus during the formative years of the Imperial occupation. One of the few complete sectors on the moon, the Imperial Sector is comprised of sleek buildings while being the undisputed hub on Chyron as it likewise is the largest and most populated sector of the habitated areas of the citymoon.

It is also the only sector to hold direct access to the moons immense Power Generators located beneath the moon’s surface. The so-called works are a highly sensitive area of the moon and thus are heavily guarded by the Sector authorities with not even members of Taldryan are allowed to enter without proper summons from the local government.

A Spaceport large enough to serve both civilian and military ships can also be found among the imperial-era architecture on its southern borders.

This sector is comparable to: Vardos and Coruscant

You are allowed to submit more than one venue (and we encourage it!) for consideration, though only the first on the submission will be able to place.

Grading will be determined by the most interesting, well thought out, and descriptive writing. Note, this is not a fiction, this isn’t about telling a story, it's about what you see walking up to, and inside, of the locale.

Submissions may be in pdf or .doc form, or text box. Wiki coding is not required, nor will it influence the scoring.

You may add images to your submission but these are purely to round up your submission and wont affect the grading, However if you add images to your submissions, please make sure to state any sources you took your images from(!)

Third Level Crescents are up for grab to the Top3 Submissions as well as 10 Influence Points per valid submission.

The former Imperial Archives deep within the Sector 001 is one of the few buildings that the ruling Ky’Lian family has been able to keep in pristine condition since the fal of the Empire. In addition to being one of the most heavily guarded, next to the palace and power generators, facilities it is easily the cleanest. Located centrally within the Imperial Sector the Archives are close enough to both the palace and power genertors that security forces stationed at any of the three locations can easily reinforce another.

The front gate would be familiar to anyone who had seen another Imperial bunker. Its thick, grey durasteel doors, and corresponding windowless duracrete walls, are the only portion of the facility visible from street level. Those lucky enough to be granted access first step into a non-descipt room with grey walls and floors. A single transparisteel window takes up much of the pefr hand wall, providing a visual portal to the security room within. Staring through the viewport a visitor would see a control panel with varied controls that are used the activate and manipulate the sensors hidden within the walls of the entrance chamber.

Upon entering the Archives proper, a visitor would be guided through hallways that could belong to any other former Imperial facility. The few rooms that exist separately from the information storage facility are meeting rooms and bunk units for those assigned to guard duty or technical support.

An automated doorway large enough for a K2-unit to walk through standing at full height allows entrance to the Archives themselves. The data storage and retrieval system was designed as a smaller version of larger systems like the one on Scariff. The datatapes are stored in a five meter high column that is secured behind another durasteel door. A viewport is paired with a dual-stick controller to allow users to retrieve the tape they desire after determining the location of the information using the computer panel within the same room.

Being an Out Rim system, the Empire did not entrust the Archives on Caelus with any real novel or cutting edge information, instead using it as a backup for less sensitive data such as hyperspace navigation lanes or schematics for more common equipment and materials. While some of this information may be common knowledge in the Core, or of little value to those who live closer to the center of galactic civilization, mining this repository for any useful inform has greatly assisted the Ky’Lian maintaining their hold on the Caelus system.
