Everyone here at the DJB has a character that they have created. We go to great lengths and take great pride in the individuals who represent our writing within this great group. This competition wants you to take that pride and turn it into a fantastic piece of fiction.

Writing a minimum of 500 words, no maximum, compile a piece of fiction highlighting a specific Aspect, Trait, Skill, or Feat etc. of your character. The plot of the fiction is your own discretion, and up to two specific character traits may be listed in the comment section below. Please make sure to report your word count in the uploaded document.

Fiction will be graded using the fiction rubric, with specific emphasis on creative use of the specific character attribute(s) selected.

Please submit your fiction in any standard electronic format (.docx, .pdf, etc.). No google docs will be accepted. Fiction can also be submitted via the comment box if necessary.
