Welcome to Shroud War II.
While the Collective still lurks just over the horizon, the Shroud Syndicate looks to broaden the influence of the Herald and the Brotherhood as whole. The fringe of society, where hunters and smugglers alike dwell, has always been a lucrative place for those such as the Hutt cartels, Black Sun, and the Pyke Syndicate. The Shroud must claim its part of the pie as well, and you will help them do so.
Join the fray and help the Herald expand our control of the criminal underworld.
How to participate? Sign up for the tournament by subscribing to this parent competition. Once you sign up, your name will be added to the list of participants found within the tournament. Subscriptions will be open for through Friday April 18th.
Note: Late subscription will be disabled, meaning you must sign up before the competition start date. Those who subscribe in the allotted time will be able to participate, those who don't will not.
How it will work? Once this parent competition begins, each participant will be randomly paired with another for a head to head match for round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 will see each member power matched with other participants with similar records based on win/loss and total points achieved via the Herald Grading Rubric.
Note: In case we have an odd number of participants the last name left will receive a bye for round 1. Byes in rounds 2 and 3 will be assigned to the bottom seed. All competitors will participate in rounds 1, 2, and 3.
Once the matches are set, the tournament rounds (set up as child graphics competitions) will be uploaded. You will need to subscribe to each round you are in where you will find the prompt you and your opponent will square off over.
Following the completion of the 3 preliminary rounds, the top 8 competitors (or half the field, whichever is smaller) will advance to quarterfinals in a single elimination format. Matches will be assigned with power protection, so that the 1 seed will hit the 8 seed, the 2 seed will hit the 7 seed, and so on in that manner. In the case of byes in the elimination rounds, the byes will be assigned to the highest seed.
To move to the next round you must create a superior graphic to your opponent’s. All gading will be done utilizing the Dark Brotherhood Graphics Rubric V2. Participants can learn the results of their match up by checking the bracket. An email will be sent out at the end of each round to all participants in that round which will notify them that the round has been graded and who will be moving forward to the next round.
Note: Clusters of Graphite will be awarded per round/per graphic.
The final round will consist of 4 participants, one pair drawing for first and second and the other for third and fourth place.
The prelim round postings and elimination bracket can be found here, once a pairing has been graded the bracket will be updated to reflect the the new information.
