This competition is the first in a larger series of events, collectively (hah) known as Unsteady Ground. The storyline is focused on Clan Taldryan, but the competitions will be open to all Brotherhood members, and all participants will have the chance to influence the storyline via their submissions—just like the recent Great Jedi War.

The Taldryan Summit has uncovered signs that the Collective is planning something nefarious in the Caelus System, and Consul Rian Taldrya has brought several of the Clan's newly-reorganised divisions together to deal with this threat. The first step is to determine exactly what Rath Oligard and his flunkies are up to. Participants will be asked to select one option from each sets of prompts below, then use those prompts to tell the story of how their character (alts permitted) roots out a Collective cell on Chyron, the capital moon of the Caelus System.

Grading: Grading for this competition will follow the Official VOICE Fiction Grading Rubric.

The two sets of prompts are:

Comm Signals (Option 1): Your character discovers the Collective cell on Chyron by following the encrypted communication signals from outside the system.

Local Gang (Option 2): Your character discovers the Collective cell on Chyron by investigating the neighbourhood gang with anti-Taldryan sympathies.

And:

Capture the Collective Cell (Option 1): Your character decides to capture the Collective cell and turn them over to the Taldryan Summit for interrogation.

Destroy the Collective Cell (Option 2): Your character decides to destroy the Collective cell as a warning to their comrades.
